As TMZ first reported, Kourtney, 43, rushed Travis, 46, to the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday morning. Things took a turn for the worse and he was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by ambulance.
On Wednesday, they reported that the Blink-182 drummer had been diagnosed with pancreatitis and doctors had placed him on a modified diet. On Saturday afternoon, it looks like Travis had finally been released from the hospital, as they both took to their Instagram Stories to thank their fans for their support during this difficult time.
Travis Barker Reveals He Was Diagnosed With ‘Life Threatening’ Pancreatitis
The rocker explained that he went in for an endoscopy last Monday “feeling great.”
However, after dinner, he “developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.”
“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube,” he explained. “This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.”
“I am so very, very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better,” he concluded. “Thank you God, I love you God.”
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star also took to her Instagram Stories with a much longer statement.
Kourtney Kardashian Thanks Fans For The ‘Overwhelming Outpouring Of Love And Support’
“Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been,” Kourtney recalled. “Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change.”
“Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” she explained. “I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative.”
“I am so, so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay,” she added.
A few minutes later, she added, “It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.”
About twenty minutes later, Kourtney added, “Language and voice carry energy but your heart is more powerful. What your heart and soul feel goes beyond a small combination of letters. I love Rumi’s quote ‘I closed my eyes and spoke with you in a thousand silent ways.’”
Fans are relieved to hear that both Travis and Kourtney are doing okay, especially since “The Kardashians” star suffered from COVID-19 after getting married in Italy just over a month ago. The Poosh founder took to her lifestyle blog to share tips on how to make COVID-19 symptoms more manageable, including vitamins, facial steamers, and essential oils.
The couple never shared if Travis had also been diagnosed with COVID-19 at the time.
Travis Barker ‘Could Barely Walk’ Prior To Tuesday’s Hospitalization
Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that Barker “could barely walk” prior to his hospitalization. The insider added that he had also been experiencing “extreme stomach pain.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, symptoms of pancreatitis include nausea, intense stomach pain, and vomiting. More than 200,000 cases of pancreatitis are diagnosed every year, but the prognosis is usually favorable once doctors determine the underlying cause of the inflammation.
The source said that Travis had been “getting the best care at Cedars” and that doctors started running tests soon after he arrived. They also put him on a modified diet, although it remains to be seen how long he will have to be on this modified diet for or how long it will be until he recovers fully.

Many celebrities took to social media to offer them their thoughts and prayers. His daughter, Alabama Barker, uploaded a picture holding her father’s hand in the hospital on her TikTok page and on her Instagram Stories. She captioned the post, “Please send your prayers.” However, she quickly deleted the photo.
