According to legal documents from The Blast, Hall filed the case in Los Angeles County Courts and claimed the couple's relationship ended because of "irreconcilable differences."

There's no mention of a prenuptial agreement in the petition, but we can assume there is one with the massive fortune from Murdoch

Jerry is asking for the judge to award her spousal support and for Murdoch to pay her attorneys fees.

In the filing, the supermodel says the famous former couple was married on March 4, 2016, and the date of their breakup is "TBD."

The “TBD” for date of separation is important because it could affect their financial settlement.

Murdoch is a multi-billionaire, so his fortune is more than likely his greatest prized possession.

In terms of the couple’s property, the documents state, “Petitioner [Jerry] is unaware of the full nature and extent of all separate property assets and debts, and will amend this Petition when the information has been ascertained.”

According to The New York Times, rumors of their divorce came as a surprise to those close to the couple.

At the time of their marriage in 2016, Murdoch took to Twitter to express his joy and happiness.

He tweeted that he was “the luckiest AND happiest man in the world” and would stop tweeting.

Last year, Jerry was seen doting on her husband at his 90th birthday party per The New York Times.

Jerry was previously together with Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger. The two were long-time partners and share four children together.

Jerry and Jagger did have wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia in 1990; however, the marriage was annulled less than a decade later in London's High Court of Justice, which ruled that the marriage had never been legal under British or Indonesian law.

Murdoch was married three times prior to Jerry, and he has six children of his own from those marriages.

His first marriage was to Patricia Booker from 1956-1967 followed by Anna Mann from 1967-1999, and then Wendi Dend from 1999-2014.

This marks Murdoch’s shortest-lived marriage.

The couple has no minor children together, so child support will not be an issue.

Despite not sharing children together, it seems Murdoch’s children played a part in Jerry’s divorce filing.

According to the Daily Mail, the former super-model and actress blames Murdoch’s children for driving a wedge between them. Tensions between Jerry and Murdoch's children began to rise during the pandemic.

Sources close to Hall told the outlet she apparently assumed a “gatekeeping” role to keep her husband safe from Covid. She believes that led his family to think she was seeking to cut their regular contact with their father.

“They thought that Jerry was keeping them from him,” a friend is quoted as saying. “She does blame the children for souring the marriage. They had a lot to say about it and a role in his personal life, which she found a nasty surprise. Clearly, they mistrusted her.”

Per the Daily Mail, Jerry was informed via an email from her husband that their marriage was over. She was waiting in the UK for her husband when the email hit her inbox.

To add even more insult to injury, he advised her that from here on out she should only communicate with him through his lawyer.

Jerry reportedly told a friend, “I still love him. I am devastated.”

Another devastation in the model’s life was Jagger’s womanizing ways.

In a 2005 interview with the Evening Standard, Jerry said she “forgave, and forgave, and forgave and forgave to the point where it wasn't very healthy at all”, adding, “Sure, he wasn't a great husband, and I could gripe and grouse, but I think that's old hat.”

Per another report from the Daily Mail, the rockstar was reportedly “seething” mad when Jerry and Murdoch became romantically involved.

He didn’t like the idea of the media tycoon becoming a part of his extended family.

“This means that Rupert Murdoch is going to become a part of his extended family, and Mick has a real problem with that,” an insider claimed.
