On Wednesday, fans learned that Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker had been rushed to the hospital for pancreatitis.
As TMZ first reported, his wife Kourtney Kardashian, 43, rushed Barker, 46, to the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday morning. Things took a turn for the worse and he was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by ambulance.
Sources told TMZ that his pancreas became inflamed after a recent colonoscopy procedure. It's not clear when he had the procedure done, especially when he just got married to the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star in Italy about a month ago. However, it seems that it must have been fairly recent, as it's now being reported that he could barely walk before the Poosh founder rushed him to the hospital.
Travis Barker 'Could Barely Walk' & Experienced 'Extreme Stomach Pain' Prior To Hospitalization
A source told PEOPLE that Barker “could barely walk” prior to his hospitalization and noted that he was also suffering from “extreme stomach pain.”
Symptoms of pancreatitis include nausea, intense stomach pain, and vomiting, and, according to the Mayo Clinic, may start suddenly and last for days, or it can even occur over many years. More than 200,000 cases of pancreatitis are diagnosed every year, but the prognosis is usually favorable.
The source added that doctors have put the talented musician on a modified diet and said that the doctors have already run several tests. “He is getting the best care at Cedars,” the insider shared.
Although the Kardashian and Jenner family have been quiet on social media, the source revealed that Kourtney “won’t leave his side.” Before his pancreatitis diagnosis, the insider said that Kourtney was really “worried” for his health, adding, “They both were.”

Kourtney Kardashian Diagnosed With COVID-19 After Returning From Italy
This is the second health scare that the newly married couple has experienced, as Kourtney recently recovered from COVID-19 for the second time since returning from her lavish wedding in Italy.
The oldest Kardashian sibling took to her lifestyle blog to share tips on how to make COVID-19 symptoms more manageable, including vitamins, essential oils, and facial steamers. It is unknown at this time if Travis Barker has also been diagnosed with COVID-19.
As The Blast reported this morning, Travis' son with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, Landon Barker, performed at a show with Machine Gun Kelly in Madison Square Garden. The two performed to an enormous crowd in New York City but did not directly address Travis' hospitalization.
