In the final slide of her Instagram carousel, the “Complicated” singer can be seen standing with her arms crossed over her chest as people cross the street in the background.
“20 years later!” she wrote in the caption. “This was another magical moment for me returning to the exact location of where I shot my debut album cover ‘Let Go” yesterday in New York City right before we played Madison Square Garden! Happy 20th anniversary ‘Let Go.’”
“And thank you to all of my incredibly amazing and supportive fans that have shown me so much love over all these years,” she added.
It seems hard to believe that it's already been 20 years since her debut album came out, but Avril marked the occasion earlier this year with a special re-release!

On June 4, the “When You're Gone” singer took to Instagram to thank her followers for all of their support over the years.
“Today marks 20 years since I released my album ‘Let Go’,” she began. “I will never be able to fully explain not only how much this album meant to me, but the monumental impact it has had on my life.”
“It’s hard to try and comprehend how, 20 years later, the songs I wrote as a 17 year old would still resonate with people today,” she continued. “It’s pretty crazy. It put me on a path and took me places I never in my wildest dreams could have ever expected and I am thankful for it every single day.”
“None of this would have been possible without the help and guidance of LA Reid, Lauren Christy, The Matrix, Cliff Magness, Curt Frasca, and Sabelle Beer,” she went on. “I will always be grateful to you guys for letting me be myself. Also a massive thank you to everyone who played a role, big or small, in helping make this record the success that it was.”
“Last but certainly not least, thank YOU, to every single one of you who made a connection with this album and stayed with me since. I say every night on stage how lucky I feel to be making music, touring and having as much fun as I do,” she continued. “I share this moment with all of you, because without you guys, these songs wouldn’t have reached the heights that they did. A genuine, heartfelt thank you to anyone that ever listened to my music and stuck around.”
“Happy 20th Anniversary ‘Let Go’ and here’s to another 20 years 🖤,” she concluded. “The 20th Anniversary edition is available now wherever you buy or stream music.” The album contains the song "Breakaway," which Avril wrote for singer Kelly Clarkson shortly after her "American Idol" victory.
Back in March, Avril also took to Instagram to thank her followers for celebrating 20 years of her hit song "Complicated."

Back in March, the "Wish You Were Here" singer seemed incredulous that 20 years had flown by!
“Holy f---! Complicated was released 20 years ago today,” Avril began. “This song holds such a special place in my heart. It was my first single off my first album. The song that started it all for me.”
“F---ing neckties…black eyeliner…tank tops…fat sk8 shoes…Dickies!!! This was the first music video I ever shot…My first time hearing myself in the radio…” she continued. “4-ever grateful to my co-writers Lauren Christy and The Matrix. They were the first team to really get me and understand my sound and vision.”
“4-ever thankful to LA Reid for discovering me and giving me my creative freedom,” she added. “I could have never imagined the places this song would take me and the amazing fanbase it created. I am so grateful to you guys always and 4-ever for embracing my music and showing me so much love then, and still now, 20 years later.”
Fans cheered on the anniversary and her latest album, “Love Sux.”
Only five days before the 20-year anniversary of her first-ever music video, Avril released the music video for “Love It When You Hate Me” featuring blackbear. The song is off her latest “Love Sux” album released through DTA Records with Travis Barker.
Earlier today, it was revealed that the Blink-182 drummer has been hospitalized with pancreatitis. Fans can read more about that here.
