If anyone knows how to do Thanksgiving the traditional way, it's the celebs with country roots. Gwen Stefani might hail from Anaheim, California, but she's shacked up with a man who basically flies the flag for good, old-fashioned American spirit.

"The Voice" co-stars have been in Oklahoma this year- you can see more about why further down- although their headline-making has been more about the food than the location.

Spending Thanksgiving with a giant turkey might tick tradition boxes on the surface, but there's more to it with Gwen and Blake. The couple revealed that they had a Flamin' Hot Cheetos-crusted and stuffed turkey today.

Social media snaps taken at Blake's 1,200-acre lakeside home showed the unusual turkey dish, with The Daily Mail's report also mentioning a second turkey. This one was seasoned then smoked the old-fashioned way by Blake himself in the 42-year-old's backyard.

Gwen has recalled how her family was impressed by Blake, although this particular admission didn't involve any kitchen skills. The blonde spoke of her California roots.

“I remember the first time I went to Oklahoma with my family,” Gwen said on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“We are like from Anaheim and we’d never seen even trees before. We were like, ‘Wow, this is like crazy.’ And we’re like driving and Blake’s in his truck and there’s a tree that had been like blown down on the road," she added.

Blake wrapped a chain around the tree before moving it.

“My whole family is like, ‘Oh, oh my God, he’s a man!’” Gwen exclaimed.

Gwen has opened up about visiting Blake at his ranch.

"We all fly out to Oklahoma, like 30 of us. Blake has this bed and breakfast hotel that we all stay at, and it's just pretty incredible. We have fun, we all cook together, it's fun," the star said.

Speaking to Marie Claire in a separate interview, Gwen also revealed how homey the whole affair is.

“It’s very tribal,“ Gwen stated.

"Blake has a sister, she comes with her kids. We cook and get muddy and dirty. There are ATVs. Being a mother of three boys, it’s kind of the perfect place. Everything is real now, whereas before, things didn’t seem so real," she added.

Gwen has even revealed that the wholesome, hearty Oklahoma setting has inspired songs. "Christmas Eve" was written by Stefani following a run on the sprawling property.

“That’s actually a Christmas miracle song because I was actually at Blake’s ranch,” Gwen told Jimmy Fallon.

“It’s this fenced-in, high fence, with all kinds of exotic animals. I mean herds, acres," she added.

Gwen even stated that the run wasn't just for physical benefit. The 90's pop star called it a "spiritual exercise."

Gwen and Blake might have the budget to stretch their vacation time by a few days (or weeks), but these two are way too busy to live life on their own clocks.

Blake and Gwen will be returning to work like the rest of us following the Thanksgiving break, although working with your partner on one of the biggest reality shows around is hardly your regular job.

Fans should check both Gwen and Blake's Instagram accounts for snaps or videos of how the couple spent Thanksgiving 2019.
