'The Bachelorette's Katie Thurston Is Ready To Take On Self Love!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with spending time and sending love to ourselves! After all, we spend more time with ourselves than we do with anyone else!

Former 'Bachelorette' Katie Thurston is currently embarking on her self-love journey, for all of the right reasons!

Thurston, 31, has endured two extremely public break-ups in less than a year. After competing for Matt James' heart during his season of "The Bachelor," Thurston became the first of two women from his season to hold the 'bachelorette' title in 2021.

Thurston's season of "The Bachelorette" ended in an engagement to Blake Moynes, who had entered the chat a bit later than the other men competing on her season. After the duo's engagement ended after two months, Thurston moved on by dating John Hersey, who had also been competing for her heart during the show.

Hersey and Thurston went public with their romance last winter after Thurston had a little fun with 'hard launching' her new boyfriend, through an Instagram story game she called "The 12 Days Of Messy." She had used Taylor Swift's "Begin Again" to announce their relationship.

Sadly, the pair recently called it quits. The former couple respectively announced their separation through statements made via their Instagram stories.

Even though the former couple have recently been spotted platonically hanging out together with some of their fellow Bachelor Nation friends, Thurston is ready to move forward from their romantic relationship.

She took to TikTok last night to announce her new plan for embarking on the next phase of her love life, filming a video, especially for her single fans in their thirties, who are facing similar dating situations to hers. According to People, Thurston also wrote about her plan on her Instagram stories as well.

In her first TikTok about her experience, Thurston revealed she had been previously given a book for couples to document their adventures together. She explained how she was up for amending the book's premise to chronicle her own adventures by herself.

On her Instagram story, Thurston documented, "Day 1 of turning this 'Adventures for couples' book inspo for dating myself. My love language is words of affirmation. So I grabbed some dinner and some wine, and a journal, and headed to the beach."

She also shared that her first date night activity involved "watching the sunset as I write myself a love letter," as per People.

There are clearly no hard feelings between Thurston and Hersey!

Recently, Hersey shut down someone who had made a comment about Thurston's dating style.

According to Us Weekly, Hersey wrote, "You will speak a finite amount of words throughout your life. I urge you to speak more kindly. Especially someone you don't know. I have never been so supported or unconditionally loved by a partner. Assuming and implying Katie is doing something wrong does not sit right with me," he shared, before concluding with "The internet can be a mean place- Let's not add to it."
