After mutually ending their relationship, Blake Moynes was not expecting Katie Thurston to enter another relationship two weeks later.
Moynes believes Thurston may have had an affair strictly based on feelings with her new partner John Hersey.
The ex-fiance spoke on the rollercoaster of emotions and doubts he is feeling post-breakup and what he thinks of his ex’s relationship.

While on the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast, Moynes said he believes Thurston had an emotional affair with Hersey while they were engaged.
Hersey was a contestant on Thurston’s season of “The Bachelorette” but was sent home in week two. She and Moynes got engaged in the August finale but ended things in October.
Moynes told the podcast host he has been speechless and trying to process the news about the new couple and figure things out.
The wildlife conservationist said his ex never spoke about her boyfriend being a threat and is shocked she did not give him a heads up through their “cordial” conversations post-breakup.
The nature lover believes Thurston had the hindsight to announce her relationship with her “12 Days of Messy” challenge, which began 2 weeks after their breakup.
Moynes said he knew of the couple’s friendship but never thought much of it because he is a very secure and confident guy who 100 percent gives his trust out.
Nevertheless, he presumes his ex-fiancee had an affair, but he does not “think there was any physical cheating there, but there’s clearly emotional for it to transition as quickly as it did.”
“I feel stupid and foolish,” Moynes told Becca Kufrin, explaining that he probably failed to provide for Thurston emotionally and allowed her and Hersey’s friendship the leeway to transition to love.
The conservationist credited their breakup to real-world pressures, including distance, revealing that they broke up tearfully over FaceTime, but he would have preferred to meet in person.
Moynes said this relationship drama is his last straw, and he does not want any regrets. He wished Thurston and Moynes the best, adding, “next chapter coming up.”

After a romantic ending to the 17th season of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and a sweet proposal from Moynes, fans were expecting them to live happily ever after.
The Blast recounted this was not the case as the pair called it quits just over two months after their engagement. The bank marketing manager broke the surprising news on Instagram.
Thurston uploaded a monochrome image of her and Moynes staring sweetly at each other and wrote in the captions that they decided to go their separate ways with mutual respect and love.
“The Bachelorette” star said she and her ex-fiance were grateful for their shared moments but came to the conclusion they are incompatible as life partners.
Thurston praised their breakup for being their “most caring choice” and asked the public for their privacy, assuring them she and Moynes have the best intentions towards each other. Moynes reposted his ex’s post to his Instagram page.
Clare Crawley, Andrew Spencer, Ali Fedotwosky, Ivan Hall, and Blake Hortsmann sent well-wishes to the couple under Thurston’s post.
