Katharine McPhee Makes Fun of Age Difference Between Her and Husband David Foster on Twitter

It doesn't matter to Katharine McPhee and David Foster that there is a 35 year age difference between the couple. Age is just a number to them and they don't seem to even think about it much.

McPhee is 35 years old and Foster is now 70. Although he is old enough to be her father and twice her age, the happy couple is in love and they don't care about it at all. McPhee even made fun of their big age difference on Twitter the other day.

While a fan of both David Foster and Katharine McPhee tweeted a joke about the couple a couple of days ago, McPhee decided to get in on the fun and make fun of them and their age difference right along with her. The Twitter user tweeted,

“Am I playing #DavidFoster 's 1992 xmas album for my entire office? Yes. Do I have no shame? Yes. The only downside is no @katharinemcphee on this album."

McPhee was tagged in the tweet and chose to play along and make fun of her and her husband's age difference in her tweet response. McPhee tweeted,

“The recording schedule for this conflicted with my 3rd grade homework, unfortunately."

This funny tweet by McPhee started a bunch of memes to be tweeted by her Twitter followers that praised the former American Idol alum for her funny remark on their age difference. It's a good thing she has a sense of humor!

Foster and McPhee have had to defend their age difference before. McPhee said the love between the couple is genuine. She also said they "respect each other and have for a very long time."

She also stated that there are a lot of things about their relationship that neither one of them could have written it. She also said,

“I would never have imagined that this would be our future together.”

McPhee also said that she and Foster understand each other. She said,

"He has things to learn from me and I have a lot of things to learn from him. So I think we have a nice yin and yang. It doesn’t make sense to a lot of people, but it does to us."

Although the couple has known each other since 2006, when McPhee was on American Idol as a contestant and Foster was a mentor for her, the lovely couple didn't get married until June of last year. They got married in London.

Foster proposed to McPhee while they were on vacation together in Italy in July of 2017. For the happy couple's wedding day, McPhee wore a strapless gown that was custom made just for her by the American designer, Zac Posen. The gown came featuring layers of tulle, a sweetheart neckline, and a veil that matched it, of course.

Although this only makes McPhee's second time being married, it makes Foster's fifth time.

Yes, they do have a major age difference between them but all that really matters is that they are happy together.
