As the familiar theme song goes for "Bachelor In Paradise," it was 'almost paradise' for "The Bachelor's" Peter Weber.

After Weber failed to find a lasting love during his season of "The Bachelor," 'Pilot Pete' had decided his journey within Bachelor Nation was not over and would need more roses!

Weber's next plan of action in his quest to find true love was to travel to the destination within Bachelor Nation that serves as a popular spot for past contestants of "The Bachelor" franchise to have a second chance to find true love. The 30-year-old commercial pilot set his sights on jet-setting to the beach to compete as a contestant on "Bachelor In Paradise!"

Putting The Breaks On The Beach

Unfortunately, Weber's plan to fall in love with the help of some sand and surf did not come to fruition.

"I was actually going to do 'Bachelor In Paradise'," Weber shared with Us Weekly. "I was going to do it..."

The reason why Weber, who had proposed to his season's frontrunner Hannah Ann Sluss before breaking their engagement to explore a relationship with runner-up Madison Prewett, did not go through with a trip to Mexico, was unrelated to having a case of cold feet.

Weber continued to tell the publication, "We just couldn't agree on a contract at the end of the day is what it comes down to."

The inability for Weber and the powers that be at ABC Network to mutually agree on a contract came at the eleventh hour. Weber also revealed how close he was to meeting a potential love on the beach before finally deciding not to pursue the venture any further.

"I had gotten the days off," he continued. "I had the month off to go out there, and I was going to give it a shot. I honestly was..."

The idea of potentially becoming a contestant on "Bachelor In Paradise" had been in the back of Weber's mind after his season of "The Bachelor" ended up not leading him to his happily ever after.

He revealed, "I always kept looking at ["Bachelor In Paradise"] as like, the one venue I hadn't like really checked off or tried."

Paradise, Lost: What Happened With Kelley Flanagan?

Before Weber had begun exploring the possibility of finding love again, he had briefly dated Kelley Flanagan, who Bachelor Nation may remember had been a contestant during Weber's season. She was also a favorite of Weber's mother Barb!

The duo began pursuing a relationship in the Winter of 2020 following Weber's split with Sluss. According to Us Weekly, Weber was able to score Flanagan's digits during a chance meeting while attending the year's Super Bowl!

"We started to communicate and just stay in touch," Weber later said of their relationship.

Flanagan and Weber confirmed their relationship in April after a few months of fan speculation. Unfortunately, the pair's relationship came to an end later that year.

When publicly discussing their split a year and a half later, Flanagan alluded to a factor that had been very important to her on a personal level.

According to her interview on "Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation" as per People, she had shared, "Peter and I had a lot of fun, but I don't think I looked up to him in the way that I wanted to look up to my spouse."

Has Weber Ruled Out Finding Love Again?

Having multiple relationships fail while in the spotlight has not deterred Weber from publicly searching for love again. In fact, part of his desire to head down to Mexico had to do with potentially pursuing a lovely lady from Bachelor Nation!

"I'm not going to spill those names," he later revealed in his recent Us Weekly interview, "but there was someone down there. That was the only reason that I was actually curious about going down there."

Whether Peter Weber wants to find love next in or out of the spotlight, we wish him many romantic plane rides in the future!
