“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gina Kirschenheiter has already introduced her new man Travis Mullen to her soon-to-be ex-husband Matt.
Over the weekend, Gina spilled all the tea while on a panel at BravoCon in New York. She revealed Matt has already sat down with new lover.
She said, “It was really weird for me. … But he said, ‘Don’t worry, he’s a really nice guy.” Gina claims Matt is currently in a “bad place” at the moment. She said he wasn’t happy finding out she is in a new relationship and moving on.
She added, “At first he was not having it. It created a bad situation between him and I.” Gina admitted, “He wanted to meet him because he’s around the kids. He accepted this was happening. Sometimes Matt can be stubborn but he always does at the end of the day put the kids first.”
Gina added, “I’m in a good relationship, a healthy relationship. I’m trying to co-parent with Matt and doing the best I can. It’s hard.”
Gina and Travis have been quietly dating for a couple months. The two celebrated Halloween together. She posted a costume photo captioned, “When did I become skipper? I’m f*cking Barbie” -Gina Kirschenheiter When bae thinks you’re referencing Skipper from Gilligan’s Island you embrace it ? #barbieandskipper #RHOC #halloween2019.”
Gina and Matt are still in the middle of a nasty divorce battle. Last year, she filed for divorce from Matt following nearly eight years of marriage.
In her petition, she listed the date of marriage as May 15, 2010 and the separation date as March 3, 2018. The two share three minor children and she asked for joint legal and primary physical custody.
During the legal battle, Matt was arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting Gina. He was arrested and charged over the incident. The case is still ongoing.
A judge ordered Matt to pay Gina $10,000 a month in support. Per the deal, Gina has primary custody of the kids and they share legal custody.
They agreed to take one counseling co-parenting class per month together and neither can trash the other in front of their kids or on “RHOC.”
He had agreed to pay $4,500 per month in child support along with $5,127 a month in spousal support, for a grand total of $9,627. The amount was based on his base salary and gross commissions of $421,000 a year.
Gina kept all her jewelry, clothes, and keeps the Chrysler Town and Country. Matt kept his personal belongings plus the 2015 Lexus.
Matt rushed to court days later demanding the support be slashed. Gina and Matt are set to face off in court on January 15, 2020.
Last month, Matt rushed to court asking a judge to order Gina to sit for a deposition. He is also demanding she turn over financial documents, including her reality show salary. Matt accuses Gina of refusing to be deposed without a court order.
