John Legend Receives Criticism From Wendy Williams Over New Title

Usually, fans have strong opinions when it comes to titles like "Sexiest Mar or Woman Alive," and this year, there seems to be a problem with the chosen one. 40-year-old John Legend, husband of Chrissy Teigen, was declared the "Sexiest Man Alive" by PEOPLE, and social media platforms were in an uproar. Many fans sent congratulatory messages to the singer on the new title, but some critics thought he was not a good choice. Some media houses have come up with reasons why Legend was the best choice, but this did not sit well with Wendy WIlliams.

Last year, John Legend was recognized for his EGOT status which means he has won several awards from the EMMY, Grammy, Oscar and Tony stages. This is usually rare for people who are not into acting and singing, but Legend surprised everyone. Although PEOPLE declared the father-of-two as a nice Hollywood guy, he is still not Wendy Williams' choice for the SMA. The 55-year-old talk show host who is known for her shade history, argued on her show that Legend may be cute but that was not enough to call him the sexiest man alive.

She went on to say that Jason Momoa was supposed to be the right pick for PEOPLE. In conclusion, she said that the award should go extinct because there is more than one sexy person in the world. In her words, she also disclosed that if she ever thought of a sexy man, she would never think of John Legend. No one knows why Williams is coming hard for Legend for his title, but many viewers seem to agree with her on this topic.

After the announcement was made, Chrissy Teigen took to her social media to troll her husband, who had just been crowned "Sexiest Man Alive." In her tweet, she said; "I cannot WAIT for people to get mad about John being the sexiest man alive." Wendy Williams responded to this tweet saying that she was not mad about the award. William's idea of a sexy man is one who can throw punches when a stranger walks up to her and sprays water gum.

John Legend may not have all the abs he needs to be a sexy man, but there are a lot of things that make him the right choice for SMA. Aside from getting his EGOT status, he is a husband and an amazing father. He has also striven to build a successful career for himself while raising two beautiful children with his wife Chrissy Teigen. Another reason why Legend is the obvious choice for SMA is that he is goofy and a humanitarian.
