Monica Thanks Close Friend For Support, Days After Shannon Brown Divorce Becomes Final

Singer Monica is showing her close friend love after she helped her through rough times, days after her divorce from NBA star Shannon Brown became final.
The singer took to social media to write a sweet message to her long-time friend Tammy. Monica shared a photo captioned, “Ups , Downs , Highs , Lows ..... SHE’S been there ... I was 16 with the world on my shoulders, she always lightened the load !! The first person I didn’t share blood with that was loyal to me at all cost!! She jumped in that water whenever I did & instead of growing apart we grew up together !! I still remember us fighting some girls in a parking deck while the girl we thought was our friend sat in the car with the doors locked #MYDOORS ??it’s been 20+ years but we’ve always known “We all we got” (P.S. we were young would neverrrrrr happen now) LOL #Sister #MyFirstTrueFriend #SheIsMe #IamHer @independentmiss ♥️”

Monica recently got back from a birthday trip to Mexico. Her friend T.I., Tiny, Toya Wright and many others were there to celebrate. One person who was not on the trip was Monica’s ex-husband, Shannon Brown.
Monica and Shannon have had a whirlwind couple months. The singer filed for divorce in March following eight years of marriage. Rumors had been swirling for months about a possible breakup. They share a daughter named Laiyah Shannon.
Since the divorce became official, Brown has been taking to social media to flirt with his ex-wife. He reposted sexy shots of Monica captioned, ““What you say ?!?!?!?!”
The former couple continue to follow each other on social media. Monica has not said a single bad word about Brown since the split. They appear to be on good terms despite not being together.

Brown has been active on Instagram in the past couple weeks. He posted a selfie in front of mirrors captioned with a cryptic message on love.
He wrote, “What if I told you to find my heart you would have to piece me back together ?!?!?!?”
A fan supported Brown writing, “Stay strong .. you will get thru this ..” and “Time to rebuild it better than before. ??”
He even posted a thirsty shirtless photo in grey sweatpants that left little to the imagination.
He spoke to fans before the divorce became final, “Sometimes we make life more complicated than what it really is or should be. Don’t be afraid to be a sponge, soak up as much wisdom as you can and don’t be afraid to display all that you have learned when it’s time. My mind never stops working, I’m a thinker. The most dangerous people in the world are people who think for themselves and then when those people congregate that’s when great things happen. Just a lil free game I felt I needed to share.”
Monica has been showing her appreciation for the love and support of her close friends. She recently wrote a nice message to her friend/Snoop Dogg’s wife,Shante Broadus. Monica said, “In a world where you have to wonder why people are even around , @bosslady_ent I Thank you for staying down? Loyal, been with me through the good , bad, love, losses, break ups, wins , courtrooms , lessons, tests & trials ... You never waiver !! RBFFSTTDOM..... I LOVE YOU ?”
