Eminem wants to make it clear that he's tight with Rihanna even though years ago he wrote lyrics applauding her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, for assaulting her. The "Kamikaze" rapper found himself in some hot water last week after lyrics from an old track were leaked online. A Reddit user uploaded the audio and titled it “(SNIPPET) Eminem – Things Get Worse (Rihanna dissed).” Eminem's fans were surprised since he and Rihanna have made music together ever since their original hit “Love the Way You Lie" from 2010. Now, the Grammy-winning rapper is speaking out.
Through a rep, Eminem has addressed the backlash over his scrapped lyrics which were reportedly created while he was working on his 2009 album, "Relapse." However, the assault lyrics were rewritten from the verse, which is included on B.o.B.'s 2011 song from his mixtape E.P.I.C. (Every Play Is Crucial). The lyrics stated, “I’m not playing, Rihanna, where’d you get the V.D. at? Let me add my two cents/, Of course, I side with Chris Brown/I’d beat a b--- down, too if she gave my d--- an itch now.” Although he's not apologizing, his rep makes it clear he's team RiRi. "This is a leak of something that’s over ten years old," Dennis Dennehy told to XXL in a statement. "After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it and rewrote it. He and Rihanna have a great relationship.” Besides their 2010 hit, Eminem and Rihanna also linked up in 2012 on “Numb” and 2013 for “The Monster.”

Fans will recall Chris Brown was accused of brutally assaulting his then-girlfriend during the 2009 Grammy weekend. He was charged with several felonies over the incident. Photos of Rihanna with a swollen lip and several face injuries quickly began to surface online showing her brutal injuries which she was treated for in a hospital. Chris Brown escaped jail time as part of a plea deal and got 5 years of probation.
Rihanna has yet to address Eminem's lyrics, but that's probably because she has been MIA lately and not paying attention to the small things. The Fenty Beauty founder recently took to social media and apologized for being absent. She stated that at the moment she's focusing on a healthy work/life balance.
Posting a sexy shot of herself, Rihanna captioned the pic, “to all my friends/family/coworkers who I have yet to get back to in the past months...please forgive me." She added that this year has been a "quite overwhelming one" and she is "working on that ish called Balance. brb.” The singer did not give any reasons but her fans quickly wrote her encouraging messages of support. “You so much sis 2019 kicked everyone’s Ass. Rooting for you ALWAYS Queen," one fan wrote. "i love you so so much. always and forever. your hard work will pay off, it always does ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”, stated another. While fans have been harping on RiRi for new music, she's been busy extending her beauty company, as well as managing her super successful lingerie line. Rihanna's also been stirring up pregnancy rumors.
