The reality TV star legally named Alana Thompson is stirring up engagement rumors

The 16-year-old was photographed sporting a diamond ring on her left hand ring finger in exclusive photos Page Six obtained.

The photos were taken to announce the arrival of Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon’s twin babies; however, Honey Boo Boo’s ring stole the show.

“Pumpkin” is Honey Boo Boo’s older sister and legal guardian as of April.

The former “Toddlers & Tiara’s” star is dating Dralin Carswell who is 20-years-old. Their age difference has been a hot topic of discussion since the couple went Instagram official last year.

Carswell was recently featured on an episode of “Mama June: Road to Redemption” and seen gifting Honey Boo Boo flowers on her sweet 16th birthday.

The episode was filmed back in August given that her birthday falls on August 28th.

When they were first romantically linked, a source to The Sun, “Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time."

Her mother, Mama June Shannon, even spoke out about the couple saying that she sees nothing wrong with them dating.

Last month, we reported the ‘Not to Hot’ star putting in her two cents about the couple.

In an interview on Tuesday, May 11, the matriarch of the family said, “I’ve met Dralin. They’ve been together for over a year. People need to realize that she’s going to be 17 in August and that [Alana’s older sister] Pumpkin and Josh were the same age as they were.”

She continued to explain that people are up in arms due to interracial aspect of the relationship.

June said, “She is getting a lot of hate because she’s in an interracial relationship, he is older. But at the end of the day, Alana’s not that 6-, 7-year-old child y’all fell in love with 11 years ago. Alana has grown up, she’s graduating high school next year, guys!”

So, since Honey Boo Boo is graduating next year, does that mean a wedding is on the horizon? What does the diamond ring mean?

According to Page Six, the couple is not engaged. In fact, the ring she’s wearing is simply “just a ring” and nothing more.

The engagement buzz comes just a few weeks after Mama June confirmed she married her boyfriend of less than a year, Justin Stroud.

Their relationship became legally binding on March 23, 2022. That same month, the couple sparked engagement rumors after photos of them shopping for rings in Alabama made the rounds.

On Wednesday, June 1, MJ and Stroud uploaded a video to TikTok.

“Anyways guys, I know y’all been seeing some stuff on social media and y’all have been running our chats and messaging us asking, ‘Are we married.’ Well, we’re here today to clear up some rumors,” June said holding her left hand. “Well, official MamaJune and official Smalls are OFF THE MARKET.”

The couple then flashed their rings to the phone camera smiling.
