The former "The Big Bang Theory" alum, now 46, opened the video, saying, "Hey everybody, not sure if this is clickbait or not but I have a COVID."

She did an Instagram Live on her podcast, Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, where she went into more detail about her symptoms. In the clip, the "Blossom" child star said that "it's no joke over here" as she revealed that she was struggling with exhaustion.

"It's very exhausting, the exhaustion is very special," she told her followers. "I had mononucleosis when I was in college and the exhaustion hits like that where you cannot be awake, you can try to be awake but then all of a sudden you need to sleep."

Mayim said that she hopes it passes quickly, adding, "I'm trying to believe my body knows what to do. I do have asthma. I do have a thyroid condition which means it's an immune-compromised situation."

To help ease her symptoms, Mayim revealed that a friend suggested that she try heating up lemon juice and drinking it with ginger and turmeric. She showed that she actually has a cabinet full of suggestions that she's received from friends.

"One of the annoying things about COVID is that everybody has the things that you're supposed to do," Bialik said, adding, "I've got zinc and magnesium and immune stuff, D3, this insane vitamin C that tastes really bad but that means it's good for you."

"You know what else strangely works? Graham crackers and dark chocolate," Mayim joked. "I don't know. That's what I've been craving."

Although she joked around with her followers, Mayim said that COVID is "no joke" and added that she is "not at all trying to make light of any aspect of this." She said, "I know that there are people who do not have resources or care. It's something I've been following since the beginning of COVID."

"I was thinking about all the people with young children, especially single parents, because this level of exhaustion I cannot imagine needing to care for small children right now," she went on. "I know that so many people in this world are in that situation and it's just really devastating to me."

In the clip, Mayim Bialik told her followers that this is the first time that she has comedown with COVID-19, adding that "it's bound to find us" sooner or later.

As she brought the video to a close, she asked her followers to "Please be careful," adding, "I hope everyone stays safe. I'm gonna drink this and then fall asleep."

At this time, it does not seem that Bialik's COVID-19 diagnosis will impact "Jeopardy!", as she should have already finished filming season 38, which is due to end this summer. "Jeopardy!" Greatest of All Time tournament winner Ken Jennings has been hosting the show up until May 6, which coincidentally timed with the end of Mattea Roach's 23-game win streak.

A day later, Ken took to Twitter to praise Mattea's winning streak and to warn fans that he was going to be stepping away for the show for a while.

"I'm handing the keys back to the talented actor-producer-writer-director (!) @missmayim for a few months," he tweeted over a month ago. "We are lucky to have her! Thanks for watching, and I'll be back before the end of the season."
