Iman Shumpert Says Tristan Thompson's First Cheating Scandal Was 'Sad'

One scandal, two scandal, three scandal… MORE.

Tristan Thompson is the MVP of cheating scandals and its affected more people than just Khloe Kardashian.

The infamous Lothario has been caught cheating on Khloe more times than there are letters in the alphabet.

Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but you get the pictures.

The first time he was caught stepping out on their relationship was in 2018 when she was pregnant with their daughter, True Thompson.

His infidelities and the aftermath of it was documented on the famous family’s former show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

While fans got a front row seat to the drama months after it all unfolded, there were other people who got to experience the scandal break in real time.

No, we are not talking about the Kardashian-Jenner women.

Tristan’s NBA family also got to see the messy affair unfold in real time.

NBA star Iman Shumpert was playing with Tristan on the Cleveland Cavaliers when the cheating news hit the media like a tidal wave.

Shumpert is very close with the Kardashians. He and his wife, Teyana Taylor, and their children modeled for Kim Kardashian’s Cozy SKIMS campaign in December.

Shumpert appeared on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” late-night talk show on Sunday, June 19th.

A fan wrote in asking Shumpert what his “vibe” was when playing for the Cavs with Tristan during the first cheating scandal.

Was it a big disruption for the team?

“It wasn’t… it wasn’t a big disruption like for us. Honestly, when the outside world and stuff bubbles up, the best thing for us is that we got games… we get tunnel vision,” he explained. “I think that we just all felt for Khloe. She’s cool man. And I don’t know what they got goin on. I’m sure they speak, they’re grown.”

He went on to say it was “sad” and feeling “sad” about the situation.

Many fans were living for Shumpert’s take on the cheating scandal.

This fan wrote, “I love that he said that. He knows that was wrong. He felt that.”

Others commented on how genuine and good of a person he appears to be.

Fans and followers of the Kardashians know that this wasn’t the first or last time Tristan would cheat on Khloe.

He followed up his first cheating scandal by kissing Jordyn Woods, hooking up with Sydney Chase, having a threesome at a house party and knocking up Maralee Nichols.

Khloe and Tristan reconciled in 2021 and were exclusively dating in March when he got Nichols pregnant with his third child.

News of his paternity scandal made waves in the media in late November.

During the season one finale of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, fans got to see the paternity scandal unfold from the POV of the Kar-Jenner family.

In the episode, Kim is in her home gym getting ready for a workout when she comes across an article about Nichols being pregnant with Tristan’s baby.

She gets her sisters, Kylie and Kourtney, involved in the conversation before Khloe is up and at ‘em.

Kim said, “This is his whole declaration. He’s asking for a paternity test and admitting he had sex with her. Khloe threw him his 30th birthday. So, Khloe went home from the 30th birthday party… and then he slept with this girl.”

The SKIMs CEO sent a Daily Mail article to the NBA player and asked if Khloe knew about it.

At the time, Koko was not answering anyone’s text messages or calls, but she eventually phoned Kim to get the scoop.

Kourtney added, “it’s never-ending betrayal.”

Kylie said, “This has to be the final time” Khloe gives Tristan another chance at a relationship with her.

Khloe called Kim and responded, “What the f**k is this?”

She could then be heard sobbing on the other end of the phone.

Koko filled in fans about her feelings after watching the episode.

On Thursday, June 9, Koko was live tweeting while watching the episode and admitted it was “uncomfortable.”

She tweeted, “Rewatching this part is uncomfortable but I love and appreciate my family more than I can express. Praise the Lord I have them for the rest of my life.”
