Tristan Thompson Isn't Planning On Meeting Son Theo Anytime Soon, Hasn't Sent Child Support

Khloé Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson has not met with his six-month-old son Theo since his birth. The 31-year-old and the reality star have a four-year-old daughter and were in an on-and-off relationship which they finally called off late last year.

Thompson welcomed a son with Maralee Nichols late last year while he was still in a relationship with Kardashian. The ensuing months saw the athlete carry out a paternity test to ascertain whether he fathered the child and his public apology to the tv personality.

The 31-year-old has reportedly not seen his son yet, nor does he have any plans to in the near future. Thompson has also not sent child support to the child's mother for his upkeep, leading to Nichols' move to take the case to court.

Thompson is yet to meet his son Theo and has no immediate plans to do so. The NBA player welcomed a son with Nichols in December 2021 while he was still involved with Kardashian.

According to Us Weekly, a source said, "Tristan is very absent from Theo's life. He hasn't met nor has he initiated any meetings. He doesn't have any immediate plans to meet his son face to face."

The 31-year-old is not only avoiding contact with his son, but he is also not in contact with the child's mother. The insider revealed that Thompson has not sent any child support across since Theo was born. "This aspect hasn't legally been resolved yet," they said.

Nichols first mentioned her intention of suing the NBA player for child support in December 2021. The Texas paternity lawsuit and child support case was dismissed last year; however, a presiding judge ruled that the California case would proceed.

The model filed new paperwork in March, which requested some financial assistance from Thompson to take care of their baby. However, according to a source, the NBA player's attorney filed court documents that claimed that he was "unavailable for a future court date."

Thompson's legal team also filed a motion earlier this month with the court. The source revealed, "They were also unable to make a proposed court date, pushing matters back further. Everything is therefore still in limbo."

According to an US Weekly source, the 31-year-old was trying to make the case go away without paying child support and was "doing everything he can to avoid a face-off with Maralee in court." They added, "It's still an ongoing case. The attorneys from both sides are handling the matter privately."

After Theo was born in December last year, Thompson proceeded to carry out a paternity test which came out as a match. He confirmed that he was the child's father and issued a public apology to Kardashian, who he was still involved with when the six-month-old was conceived.

Besides his affair with Nichols, Thompson previously cheated on Kardashian while the tv personality was still pregnant with their four-year-old, True. Despite the scandal, the duo reportedly stayed together for the benefit of their daughter.

They eventually broke up in early 2019 after the 31-year-old was caught kissing Kylie Jenner's best friend at the time, Jordyn Woods. The couple came back together the following year during the pandemic; however, they ended things in late 2021.

In the episode of "The Kardashians" TV series, Kardashian opened up about how embarrassed she felt while dealing with Thompson's betrayal publicly. According to her, she found out about the transgression at the same time as the rest of the world, and it was "humiliating."

"I find out what Tristan is doing with the rest of the world," she said during a confessional in an episode. "A courtesy would be not doing it, but fine if you do it, you're not even going to give me a heads up before the rest of the world? It's just an additional slap in my face. It's humiliating.

The former "Revenge Body" host added that she felt like she was manipulated and lied to. "I'm not sure that there is one thing that hurts more than the other in a situation like this. Everything is an act of betrayal. Everything is a lie. Everything is manipulation, and it is deceit."

She continued, "Did Tristan have every opportunity to tell me? Yes. Was Tristan going to kill me if there wasn't a baby involved? Absolutely not. And that shows a lot about his character. The entire thing is despicable."
