Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Celebrate Their Oldest Son Rafael's Birthday!

On Friday, the oldest son of Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin took another trip around the sun!

Hilaria and Alec share children Carmen Gabriela, 8, Rafael Thomas, 6, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 5, Romeo Alejandro David, 3 1/2, and Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, who was born in September 2020. María Lucía Victoria, the couple’s newest daughter, was born last spring. Alec Baldwin also has a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 26, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

However, Rafael, nicknamed Rafa, isn't six anymore! He just turned 7 on Friday!

The “30 Rock” actor posted a photo on Friday, holding his son over one shoulder as he points to something in the distance.

“Happy birthday to my first son, Rafael,” he wrote in the caption. “Like all of my children, he has changed my life, and brought magic to it, in ways I cannot describe.”

On Saturday, Hilaria also took to Instagram to share a video montage of Rafa when he was only a baby. The video shows him slowly growing up alongside his siblings as they eventually celebrate his 7th birthday together.

In the caption, Hilaria wrote, “Yesterday was your birthday, Rafa, and just like many other parents, I love to reflect on what a journey your life has been..in just these 7 years.”

“You had the toughest start of all of your siblings…born a month early with the chord, tightly around your neck,” she revealed. “How quickly, within days, you bounced to vibrant life. And you have been unstoppable—joyous, the comic in our family, sweet, kind, strong willed.”

She concluded, “You know yourself and I hope you continue that on your life journey, every step of the way—through the good times and the bumps, keep your soul, just as you are. We love you ✨?”

Many fans of the couple took to the comments to wish their son a happy birthday. It looks like Rafa is doing well and having a great birthday, which is a relief to many fans. Earlier this year, the power couple took to Instagram to reveal that Rafa had broken his arm playing on the playground and he wasn't taking it well.

On April 28, Hilaria told her Instagram followers that “Rafa broke his arm really badly yesterday, playing at the park. You will see him with a cast for quite a while now, so I wanted to give you a heads up.”

She thanked Lennox Hill emergency room for “taking such good care of our baby.” She also expressed her thanks “to the doctors and the nurses for your expertise and kindness.”

“This is a part of being a parent that is so heartbreaking,” she went on. “We were with the babies when it happened and to get that call makes your heart sink. His little voice on the phone ‘I want my mommy’…knowing even the 20 min to get to him is 20 min too long.”

“To not be able to immediately take away their pain and fear…oooof nothing prepares us for this, right?” she asked. “We were at the hospital until pretty late and then we made a bed on our floor (wild sleeper, was afraid he might fall off our bed).”

“How many times he called out for me last night, I do not know. At one point I heard him whispering to himself, recounting what happened, saying over and over: ‘I broke my arm’,” she concluded. “We are relieved that, while it will be a long recovery road, he is certainly on it ?”

On May 4, she gave fans a small update, posting a photo of Raf lying in the grass, looking somber. Hilaria told her followers that he visited the playground for the first time since he visited the emergency room. However, she said that Rafa was “frustrated,” because he just “wants to be free to run and play like he could before the injury and cast.”

She continued, “To parent through this in our home means empathy and compassion for the feelings, and also the perspective that this shall pass and he will be on his way to freedom, relatively soon.”

“I’ve heard it said that we want to understand the waves of emotions and teach our children to stand on top of the wave and be able to see far into the perspective that really nothing is forever…” she concluded. “poco a poco❤️”

The mom of six is soon about to become a mom of seven. She revealed to her Instagram followers that she is due in the fall and recently posted an ultrasound of her new bundle of joy.
