TikTok is one of the most used social media apps in the world. Formerly known as the Bit.ly app, it allows members to post video content from a few seconds to a few minutes long. It also comprises an array of content suited for everyone's preferences.
Many content creators have risen to stardom owing to the unlimited freedom to create any kind of content.
One of such persons is Chris Olsen, a content creator who has been making videos on Tiktok for about two years. His genre of videos includes snippets from his everyday life, therapy, and his "I'll bring you coffee" videos.
Olsen garnered a following and popularity for being authentic and even bagged an acting role on "The Body Of Queer" as a result. Read on for the details of the disclosure.
Chris Olsen Likes 'To Connect'
Seeing Olsen in another role apart from a TikTok content creator might be new for some of his fans; working as an actor has been a long-time goal for the influencer.
He has been interested in theater for as long as he can remember. In an interview with People, he shared that he once attended a boarding school for acting.
"It became serious when I went to boarding school for acting," he recalled. "We did academic classes in the morning, acting classes at night, and that really got me seriously practicing the craft."
He attained a milestone after debuting his acting role in the Disney+ series, "The Book Of Queer," which retells popular stories from a queer perspective.

The series aims to highlight history's most popular stories, such as the Greek mythologies and other legendary stories.
Olsen will be starring as a Greek warrior Epaminondas who was a part of "a band of boyfriends," a military group of 300 men rumored to be lovers.
The group fought Sparta for Thebes' autonomy and was undefeated for several decades.
"I really did not know the depths at which queerness has been intertwined through all of these stories," Olsen explained the plot of the series. "So it was a really nice surprise. I felt like I was learning so much that day, in addition to being able to retell it myself, and so I'm really excited for an audience to be able to learn so many new things as well."
The series premiered on June 2, and each episode will be airing every Thursday through June 30. Fans can get a full fix of Olsen from the third episode currently airing.
For the TikTok influencer, the actual filming process was a "whirlwind." It consisted of one long day on set. "I feel like I'm just running the craziest marathon and on a runner's high."
Chris Olsen Shares Videos On His TikTok Through A Queer Lens

Like the series, Olsen's TikTok shares similar characteristics with the storytelling, as much of his videos are shared through a queer lens.
"I really try to mirror back things I'm going through, or things I struggle with in a vein of humor," he explained to People.
His popularity has earned him not only a massive TikTok following but also an opportunity to attend several events, such as the amFAR Cannes Gala
and the Academy Awards' 2022 Oscars Red Carpet Experience.
One of the key reasons for his fame is his willingness to share about the not-so-glamorous part of his life.
"I got sober when I was 19," he added. "Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community who got sober so young, I try to communicate that often because I know that can be an issue for a lot of us."
Sharing about his teenage struggles with alcohol addiction, making light of his breakup, and demystifying therapy are all that have drawn fans to his page. He, however, hoped that acting would do the same as he had always had a soft spot for it.
"I will always want to connect with my followers," he added. "Even though I often joke that I would love to be that mysterious person who posts once a month and you have no idea what he's doing otherwise, I just don't think that's in me. Like, I can't shut up, and I love to connect with people."

Olsen found a niche for his TikTok videos, and he found it early. He has begun to record clips from his therapy sessions. They have been groundbreaking and have garnered positive reviews.
"My therapy videos really took the app by storm for a second and that made me so happy," he shared. "The amount of DMs I got of people saying, 'I started therapy because of these videos. I was so scared of it before and you really demystified it for me.'"
