'Fear the Walking Dead' Actor Tyler Sanders Dead At 18

Actor Tyler Sanders passed away at the age of 18.

The actor most recently starred in the Amazon spin-off series “Just Add Magic: Mystery City.” He also guest-starred on several notable shows, including AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead,” “The Rookie,” and “9-1-1: Lone Star.”

The news was reported by Deadline, which reported that the teenage actor passed away in his home on Thursday in Los Angeles. His agent, Pedro Tapia, confirmed the news of his passing but did not provide any details about his cause of death. However, he did remark that Sanders’ death is currently under investigation.

In a statement, Tapia said that “Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future. He comes from a wonderful family, and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”

As Deadline reported, he played a young Jake Otto in an episode of AMC’s “Fear The Walking Dead” before he was cast as Leo in Amazon’s “Just Add Magic” in 2019. That later led to a starring role in the 2020 spin-off series, “Just Add Magic: Magic City” which told the story of step-siblings Leo (Sanders), Zoe (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport), and their neighbor Ish (Jenna Qureshi). Sanders was nominated for an Emmy for his role.

Sanders also appeared during an episode of “9-1-1: Lone Star” during the series’ third season which aired in April. He also appeared in a 2018 episode of ABC’s “The Rookie.” Sanders also appeared in the 2017 pilot episode for NBC’s “What About Barb?” He also made an appearance in the 2019 movie “The Reliant.”

At this time, there is no word on a memorial service or funeral arrangements.

Many fans of the late actor took to Twitter to post news of his tragic passing, with everyone sharing what little information they knew.

"911 Lone Star actor Tyler Sanders dead at 18: he was found at home in Los Angeles but the cause of death is still not known, An autopsy will be conducted," tweeted Lilian Chan.

Chan added, "His last post was from five days ago where he was seen wearing a blue suit while in Vail, Colorado." The photo can also be seen above.

"ANOTHER TRAGEDY," another fan tweeted. "Tyler Sanders, child actor who played Leo on Just Add Magic, dead at 18. No cause yet, but…"

Although there is no confirmation at this time, some fans are speculating that Sanders might have taken his own life. Again, there is absolutely no confirmation of this, and more information will be available after an autopsy is conducted.
