During her time on the western drama series "1883," actress and singer Faith Hill began to question her acting career and if it was really the right path for her. After her role in the 2004 film "The Stepford Wives," she even considered quitting acting to focus on other things.
She mentioned this on Tuesday during her appearance on the "Kelly Clarkson Show." On the talk show, she spoke about the struggles of being a singer, actress, and mother at the same time. Hill also told fans that her thoughts about quitting were triggered by her experience on "The Stepford Wives" set. Keep scrolling to find out more details about it.

The 54-year-old actress played Sarah Sunderson in the comedy/sci-fi film about a young Manhattan couple that migrated to Stepford, an upper-class suburb in Connecticut. Soon after settling down, they discovered that men were switching their wives with obedient robots.
The film was based on a 1972 Ira Levin novel of the same name. It was also the second remake of the original 1975 movie of the same name. When asked about her time on the film, Hill admitted that she loved the cast.
However, it wasn't generally a nice experience. "I did 'Stepford Wives' with an amazing cast. But it wasn't the best experience, so I said I will never ever, ever, ever, ever do another one, a movie."
40-year-old Clarkson then asked why she felt that way about the film, and Hill replied, "Because it's so long." "The waiting for me …" before Clarkson pitched in, "It's hurry up and wait."

Hill then noted how overwhelming the whole thing was for her. "I cannot," she said. "I have to be busy, doing stuff." She then recalled deciding to continue acting again, but it still didn't feel right. This was after her time on the 2015 crime drama "Dixieland."
"Then I did an independent thing called 'Dixieland' [in 2015]. I read a lot of scripts over the years but nothing hit me or the timing wasn't right." She also told Clarkson that it was difficult to deal with her family and her career at the same time. "My career took off, no time, had babies, and I had done a couple of things," she said.
As a country singer, she also had to choose between her music and acting career. She explained that the pressure from raising her children and acting forced her to take a break.

About seven years later, Hill is back in the acting space as she currently stars in the "Yellowstone" prequel as Margaret Dutton. The show follows her fictional family as they leave Texas in search of a better life in Montana.
In the series, Hill can be seen starring alongside her real-life husband, Tim McGraw. This excited fans as they also star as a couple on-screen. When asked about her time on the western series, Hill revealed that she loved the show.
The "Let Me Let Go" singer said she found the plot very interesting and was thrilled to be a part of it. In her words, "The script was so well written." "I had honestly never read anything like that."
She Stars With Her Husband
Hill shares three children with the "Not a Moment Too Soon" country singer, McGraw. In February, she told CBS Mornings how it felt to work with her husband on the same show.
She gushed about being excited when she first found out that they'd be playing together. "The stars lined up and it was a chance and opportunity that we couldn't pass up," she said happily. She was also excited since she didn't expect to be acting again, especially with her husband.
She also told fans that they decided not to rehearse together. "We've been married for 25 years. The thing we chose to do was not rehearse together [for '1883']. We thought the spontaneity is going to be created the moment we set foot on set. Tim is James and I'm Margaret. and that's who we are and that's where we become them, on set."
