Rap icon Snoop Dogg and cooking legend Martha Stewart share one of the most unlikely but wholesome friendships in the history of showbiz.

While the latter is a 50-year-old gangster rapper, entrepreneur, and marijuana enthusiast, the former is an 80-year-old former model lifestyle guru and celebrity chef. Despite these vast differences, their friendship still works.

Their friendship dates back to 2008 when Snoop initially appeared on Stewart's show, "The Martha Stewart Show." It's been over a decade, and their friendship is still going strong, prompting many fans to wonder if theirs was a romantic relationship or was ever going to turn into one.

Per an exclusive interview with Insider, Stewart revealed that she'd soon be launching a new podcast on iHeartRadio and that Snoop was her first guest on the podcast. She also shared something new she's learned from her friend during their conversation.

"I said, you know, Snoop, when I go to a party, all people wanna know is how is Snoop Dogg? And he said, 'You wanna know something, Martha? When I go to a party, everybody wants to know how's Martha,'" she shared their conversation in the first episode of the podcast, launching June 22.

Stewart also divulged that Snoop was her dream guest on the show as he "was really talkative, and I love his voice."

In 2018, they hosted the two seasons of the VH1 "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party." Each episode included guests such as Matthew McConaughey, Seth Rogen, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, and Kathy Griffin.

At the time, it was a warm, wholesome TV series with a delightful and eclectic mix of characters.

Stewart, who has been nothing short of a supportive friend to Snoop, helped write the foreword of his first cookbook, "Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen."

"I actually like to watch him cook," Stewart admitted on Today at the time. "He's so particular, it all finally comes together."

According to Stewart, their friendship was initiated after she invited the rapper on her show as the pair bonded over a bowl of mashed potatoes. Snoop even taught her some new slang, "foshizzle."

A year after, Stewart invited Snoop back on her show to make special brownies, an invite he was enthusiastic about accepting as he is a stoner.

In a previous interview with Today, Stewart and Snoop opened up about their friendship, sharing the virtues they liked about each other.

"I like his laid-back energy. I like his outspokenness. I like his sense of timing."

Snoop also gushed about Stewart, saying, "I love Martha like I love her for real. Like, when I see her away from me I get jealous when I see other people with her. But then I have to understand, she's Martha Stewart, so she has to give the world what they want."

Stewart, who's new to the world of podcasting, explained what drew her to the audio format.

"I love radio. I've always loved radio. I used to listen with my mother to everything from 'The Lone Ranger' to Dr. Meltzer," she shared with Insider. "It was so interesting to me."

According to her, she plans on sharing some personal details of her life on the show but also wants to use the opportunity to probe into the lives of her famous friends, including Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's executive vice president and executive director of design Kevin Sharkey, Alex Rodriguez, photographer Douglas Friedman, Kris Jenner, and horticulturist Dan Hinkley, all of whom she's hinted as guests for the podcast.

"It's not so much about me. It's about my curiosity about people and what they do and how they've developed — how they've built businesses, how they've become famous or well-known. That's really what I wanna get across on this podcast," she concluded.

She also added more perks of choosing the microphone over the camera.

"For me as a performer type, I don't have to get hair or makeup," she explained.

She also shared that she hoped to present "friendly" conversations that availed more than different and several points of view.

"You can just talk to your friends and have a great conversation," Stewart said. "I can also share my friendships and my ability to talk to people like Snoop Dogg and A-Rod and Kris Jenner. I can talk to them in a friend-to-friend manner and share that with my listeners."

"The Martha Stewart" podcast launches on June 22.
