Sophia Bush Is Married!

There's nothing like having an eternal love story to help kick off a new chapter in life!

"One Tree Hill" alumna and "Good Sam" star Sophia Bush is a newlywed!

Bush and her fiancé made things official on Monday when they married in an Oklahoma county clerk's office. The couple has been tight-lipped so far when it comes to divulging details about their special day, but it is fair to assume their wedding day was just as romantic as their incredibly sweet love story!

Bush and her new husband, Grant Hughes, have a love story that wouldn't sound of place as a storyline on the beloved TV show which helped launch Bush's career!

It turns out there is nothing 'new' about the newlyweds' relationship! Bush and Hughes have been a part of one another's lives for quite a while.

In fact, these two have a whole decade of friendship behind them!

Bush candidly spoke about their relationship in a recent episode of "Drama Queens," the podcast where she rewatches and dishes about every "One Tree Hill" episode alongside her 'OTH' co-stars Joy Lenz and Hilarie Burton-Morgan.

The actress admitted she was one of the last to notice the potential she and Hughes could have together as a couple. She told her besties, as per Us Weekly, "Everyone was like, 'Welcome to your own party, ya idiot.' And I was like, 'well, cool. I'm glad I'm here!'"

Getting to, as Hughes echoed in his Instagram post commemorating their engagement, "Do life" with her new husband nearly did not happen.

Finding her way to Hughes took a lot of time and inner work for Bush, who admitted her dating life needed a major overhaul while discussing their blossoming relationship on the podcast.

"Well, I'm a romantic," she began, "I'm a storyteller, I believe in people. I'm an optimist, so I often fall in love with potential. It's not, as a partner, my job or your job to help another person realize their potential. You can support someone in realizing their potential- you can't make them do it."

Identifying this particular pattern in her past relationships lead her to make room for her relationship with Hughes to come to fruition.

"When I shifted the place that I pick from or that I was willing to see potential from being not sympathetic but inspired, I went, 'Oh, oh!'" she added.

Bush and Hughes' journey to the altar featured an extremely romantic pit stop: Hughes' scenic-filled proposal!

The duo got engaged last summer, according to People. The happy couple both snapped some Pinterest-worthy moments from their lakeside proposal on their respective Instagram feeds!

Bush highlighted the beauty of taking a second to appreciate joyful moments in her Insta-caption. She wrote, "I am deeply aware that joy is not an option for so many around the world in this moment. Clinging to gratitude right now because today is an option for me," she said. "I wish this- in whatever version feels true for anyone who might see this. for you, yes you."

Hughes commemorated their big milestone by writing, "She is my forever favorite. This is my favorite. And our life that we're building because she said 'yes' is already my favorite. I am SO EXCITED to do life with you, my love."
