Julianne Hough Is Officially Single, Brooks Laich Divorce Is Finalized

Julianne Hough is legally single and ready to mingle after her divorce from Brooks Laich was finalized.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the former couple's divorce case in Los Angeles courts ended after a judgment in the case was filed. A settlement was attached to the agreement, but details are not yet made public.

We broke the story, the former 'Dancing With The Stars' judge filed for divorce from the Hockey player after splitting up in 2020. In February, Hough filed a declaration for an "uncontested dissolution," meaning her former husband wasn't fighting the case. At the time, the ex-couple issued a statement saying, "The parties have entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court."

It should be noted, that the two have waived their right to collect spousal support from each other. It's possible the former couple had a prenuptial agreement that lays out who gets what in the divorce. Remember, both were famous and semi-wealthy before hooking up.

As of today, the couple is now legally divorced meaning they could marry someone else. Regardless of a written agreement dividing up their money and property, the court has to sign off on them being legally divorced. That is now done.

The couple split after nearly three years of marriage and issued a joint statement about the break-up. "We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate," they wrote. Adding, "We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward."

Now, we don't think Hough is rushing into another marriage but she was spotted kissing model Charlie Wison in Los Angeles in the past year. Sources close to the dancer said she was dating Wilson but is continuing to enjoy the "single life." One source told People, "She wants to be in a relationship, but has a busy career and intends to keep building on it."

Laich is also dipping his toes back in the dating pool, going Instagram official with Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir in August of 2021.

"Ever since I met @katrintanja she’s always said one of her favorite events at the @crossfitgames is snatching under the lights of a packed Coliseum on Saturday night," he wrote on IG after meeting the athlete. Adding, "I finally got to witness it last night, and it’s truly a spectacle … And thank you @katrintanja – you continue to inspire and amaze me, and it was an absolute joy to watch you in your element last night!"

In his case, he is newly engaged to Katrín and popped the big question while the two vacationed in Iceland. The 38-year-old proposed to his girlfriend on Valentine's Day, and reportedly "was a true gentleman and asked permission from her family first."
