Julianne Hough Celebrates Getting New Home

Hough uploaded a lovely photo of her sitting on the floor next to the fireplace in her new home. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer looked adorable in a cute white dress with a black harness across her chest.

She styled her hair into a messy bun and looked off into the distance, black socks on and a coffee mug with a bottle of wine next to her. Hough explained that it was her first night in the new property in the accompanying caption.

The "Dirty Grandpa" star continued, "This is the spot where I contemplate my life and this next chapter." Hough then explained what stood out to her in this new phase of her journey.

She gushed, "the cool part is I have been so blessed to live the life of my dreams, have family, old and new friends in my life that mutually show up for each other, and have a new sense of wonder in my eyes and heart, that this empty house feels completely full!

The 'Footloose' Star Has Finalized Her Divorce

Hough's new home comes almost two months after she finalized her divorce from Laich. As The Blast previously reported, on February 22, 2022, the Utah native filed a notice that the judgment package was settled by the courts.

Usually, the judgment packages are submitted to the court to be reviewed by a judge. Once it is signed off by the judge, the parties are officially divorced, and the terms of their settlement kick in.

The estranged lovebirds first tied the knot in 2017, but their union was short-lived as they separated in November 2020. Hough filed for a divorce months later, and the former couple put out a joint statement announcing their split.

"We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate," the pair told People Magazine. "We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward."

It's unsure what went wrong in the three-year union, but a close source revealed that Hough was to blame for the breakup. The insider shared to US Weekly, "Brooks did not want a divorce, but he felt pushed toward it because of how Julianne was behaving. But Brooks is not the one who is bummed now."

A Drama-Free Divorce

Unlike most celebrity divorces, Hough and Laich managed to keep theirs drama-free as they were mostly on the same page about the terms of their settlement.

Given that they didn't have kids, there were no issues about custody arrangements or child support. As for spousal support, both also agreed to forfeit that. As we previously covered, Hough initially asked that the court terminate her right to award spousal support to Laich.

In his response to Hough's filing, the Ice Hockey player demanded the same thing, not to give money to the "Safe Haven" actress.

Also, in the filing, Laich agreed that they couldn't settle on the exact date of their separation, but he concurs that "they were no longer a couple" when the divorce was initiated.

Both parties signed a prenup before walking down the aisle, so it comes as no surprise that things were super smooth amid the divorce process.
