Believe it or not, Robert De Niro is a secret Swiftie.
Swift’s 15-minute short film, “All Too Well,” will be screened at the festival after it was released on YouTube in November 2021.
Robert De Niro Says He’s ‘Not Not A Fan’ Of Taylor Swift
Although the “Taxi Driver” star didn’t say whether or not he had seen Swift’s short film, he did say, “I’m not not a fan. I probably hear her music and like it on the radio.”
When pressed on whether or not he was a secret Swiftie, he confessed, “I have all of her albums.”
“My young daughter puts a station on, and it drives me crazy when they chat,” he explained. “When they have music, it’s okay.”
“All Too Well: The Short Film” will be screened at the Tribeca Film Festival later this week.
There is also a special event called “A Conversation with Taylor Swift,” where the “Red” singer will recall her experience writing and directing her first-ever short film, which starred “Teen Wolf” star Dylan O’Brien and “Stranger Things” alum Sadie Sink.
The event will be held at the Beacon Theater in front of a live audience on June 11 at 3 PM.
Along with the movie, the “Love Story” singer also released a 10-minute version of her song, “All Too Well,” which was released on her second re-released album “Red (Taylor’s Version).”
The Tribeca Film Festival takes place from June 8 until June 19.
Fans Are Still In Love With Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ Short Film
Fans can check out the fifteen-minute short film above, which Swift both wrote and directed herself. Many people praised the casting of Sadie Sink, who played a young Taylor Swift. Dylan O’Brien is rumored to be a young Jake Gyllenhaal. Although many fans believe that the song was written about their relationship, the “Bad Blood” singer has stopped short of confirming it.
“Let’s be honest this is what put everyone on to Sadie Sink and her talent as an actress,” one fan commented on the video.
“I still haven’t gotten over this masterpiece. I just finished the new season of Stranger Things where Sadie Sink makes history once again with her impeccable acting and so I decided to come to this short film again,” another fan shared. “Sadie Sink is absurdly amazing.”
“Sadie Sink is not just an actress, she is A FEELING, A MOMENT, A MASTERPIECE of human being,” another wrote.
Other fans couldn’t say enough things about Taylor’s masterpiece.
“I watched this and immediately started sobbing- this is better than lots of romance movies I’ve seen and it brings so many emotions in only 15 minutes,” another user commented. “Well done Taylor, this is a masterpiece.”
“I will now be replaying this short film for the rest of my lifetime,” another fan commented.
“This really portrays the song so d— well,” another user shared. “This is why the person who wrote the song or story must also be the one who directs it into a film and not just someone expert in the field. Taylor wrote, produced, and directed it that’s why it turned so d— well and fits really well in our imagination.”
“Taylor, you have come so far in your career and life. It is amazing to see how you began and where you are today,” another user wrote. “I love how you are standing up to stereotypes and fighting for things much larger than any of us can fathom. The things so systemically inherited within our system, such as a woman director, you are crushing it. You wrote and directed this piece. It is beautiful. It has millions of views and is a work of art. Your talents continue to exceed all of our expectations. Congratulations on another spectacular part of your achievements.”
In addition to her many achievements, Taylor also was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree from NYU. Check out her speech and all the pics from her graduation day here!
