In 2004, Britney bought a home in Malibu for $6.3 million. She and her ex-husband Kevin Federline got married there in October 2004. She listed the home for sale in 2007 at $13.5 million but sold the home eight months later for only $10 million.

In 1999, just as her star was beginning to rise, she paid less than $30,000 dollars for a 7.4-acre property in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, where her mother now lives.

In 2000, she bought a condo in New York City’s Greenwich Village and bought the building’s 4-floor penthouse two years later. By 2011, she had sold both properties.
