It looks like Britney Spears won’t have her sons with her when she ties the knot with Sam Asghari.
TMZ first reported that the pop princess will marry the Iranian actor on Thursday in Los Angeles. Britney’s brother, Bryan, is expected to be there. That being said, the outlet reported that the “Gimme More” singer wants only a small number of guests at her wedding, meaning that her mom, dad, and sister Jamie Lynn Spears are all out.
Fans were surprised to hear, though, that Britney’s two sons are not going to be there when she and Sam become official.
Britney Spears’ Sons Will NOT Be At Her Wedding… And Neither Will Ex Kevin Federline
Most people didn’t really expect Kevin Federline to be at her wedding after he called her out for comments she had made about him not being there for her during her last pregnancy.
K-Fed’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told TMZ that their two boys, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, are not going to be at the wedding. He said, “Although the boys will not be in attendance, Kevin and the boys are happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward.”
Sources told the outlet that only about one hundred people are expected to watch Britney walk down the aisle in her wedding gown. Britney and Sam met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video back in 2016 and have been together ever since.
Sam popped the question back in September 2021 at her home with a ring designed by Roman Malayev of Forever Diamonds in New York City. Sam’s manager Brandon Cohen confirmed the engagement at the time, saying, “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication, and love expressed to them.”
Britney Spears Marries Sam Asghari Less Than A Month After Losing 'Miracle Baby'
Back in April, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer revealed that she was expecting her first child with her soon-to-be husband. After a series of cryptic posts, fans were sure that Britney was hinting that she was having a daughter and was going to name her rose.
However, Brit never confirmed the rumors, and by mid-May, Britney, 40, took to Instagram to reveal that they had lost their new bundle of joy.
The statement read, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news.”
“Our love for each other is our strength,” the statement continued. “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
In the caption, Britney wrote, “We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family 💝 Thank you for your support.”
In an interview with BBC Persian before Britney’s big reveal, Sam said that he was ready to be a father “three years ago.”
In June 2021, Britney told a Los Angeles judge that she wanted to have a baby with her then-boyfriend, but that she was forced to be on birth control during her stifling 13-year conservatorship. “I want to have the real deal. I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” she said at the time. “I was told right now under the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby.”
A judge terminated the conservatorship in November 2021, which meant that Britney was free to get married and have children again.
In the BBC Persian interview, Sam said, “Yeah, I mean, this should have happened three years ago, to be honest with you.” He continued, “When you’re in a relationship with someone that you’re truly in love with, you want to recreate. And this is something that I want to do.”
Sam also opened up about the support that Britney received following the end of her conservatorship. He said, “I can only speak on my reaction and it was phenomenal to see how everybody was so supportive and the whole world was engaged in it in a sense.”
