Lil Nas X takes things to the next level with BET as he is set to call them out in a yet-to-be-released new single for excluding him from the 2022 BET Awards.

Some fans may have expected this after the "Old Town Road" vocalist earned no nomination from BET despite his success and cultural impact within and outside the black community.

Nonetheless, BET was quick to respond to the diss song ahead of its release by trying to make peace with the influential artist via one of their latest posts on Instagram.

Lil Nas X Gets Supportive Message From BET Ahead Of New Diss Song Release

Black Entertainment Television, popularly known as BET, uploaded a series of Lil Nas' photos, showing him at the previous years' BET Awards ceremony, when he earned several accolades.

In some of the pictures, he could be seen with Billy Ray Cyrus and Jack Harlow as they featured with him on two of his highly notable music pieces.

"This is bigger than the #BETAwards," the post's caption read, "This is real life, and we will always rock with Lil' Nas X and stand for our people."

Fans of the musician were not so taken with BET's peaceful post as they vented their distaste in the comments, noting that the entertainment network timed the post well to salvage appearances ahead of the song's release.

Some wondered why Lil Nas was still not nominated even after the company's promise to 'rock' with him, which they described as lies.

An avid supporter brought up the rapper's sexuality and mentioned that BET had problems historically supporting the Black LGBTQIA community, which they applied in selecting awardees.

The post comes after Lil Nas teased his new song on Twitter titled "Late to Da Party" and featuring YB in response to BET's exclusion.

Variety shared that the 23-year-old accompanied the tweet with other messages, showing him calling out "the bigger problem of homophobia in the Black community."

Speaking of "Late to Da Party," the teaser video displayed the music star sitting shirtless in a car with the song playing on his speakers.

The tune started with "f**k BET, f**k BET," and then the talented hip-hop artist went on to brag about how he needed no one to prove his success.

As for the accompanying tweets, he declared that he was not going to pretend like everyone else in the Black community but "risk it for all of us."

A fan wondered why Lil Nas was concerned about being disregarded by BET when he had been honored by the more prominent Grammys.

The remark led him to point out, "How can I get acknowledged by the most acclaimed award show in the world and then not even just one nomination from my own people? Is that not crazy? Am I really tripping."

He further noted that his piece "Industry Baby" was the second longest-running number-one song on the Billboard rap charts of all time, but that did not get him a single BET nomination.

Prior to his recent tweets, he vented his frustrations at BET Awards for excluding him from this year's nominees list, and the cultural brand reacted with a statement showing the nominations were up to the Voting Academy.

The "Industry Baby" Musician Thanks BET Awards For Zero Nominations

Earlier this month, The Blast shared Lil Nas' deleted tweets showing him calling out BET Awards for not including him in this year's nominations which he later appreciated.

As the outlet noted, he proclaimed that "Black gay people" were not consistently recognized in the world when they were either successful or not.

The "Montero" singer further emphasized his three greatest hits of the past year and a widely regarded album that should have guaranteed his nomination.

He then expressed his appreciation at the awards show in another removed tweet. The tweet read, "thank you bet awards, an outstanding zero nominations again. Black excellence."
