Comeddiene Amanda Seales is still reeling from the shock of being left out of "The Real's" final episode.

Throughout 2019, actress and comedian Seales appeared on the American syndicated talk show as a frequent guest co-host. During its sixth season, she became a permanent co-host in January 2020 and was expected to stay in that capacity for future seasons.

However, the ex-host abruptly left the show in the middle of the year, ending a nearly two-year tenure. "The Real" was then renewed for a seventh and eighth season, the latter of which marked the series' last season.

Following the showrunners recently airing its concluding episode, Seales has expressed her displeasure at being left out of the content, which included a final memento of past presenters.

Amanda Seales Got Left Out

The "Insecure" actress resorted to social media to release a clip that criticized the show for showing a video of all of the previous permanent hosts except for her in the concluding episode of the syndicated show.

From all indications, the episode, which aired on Friday, June 3, did not sit well with Seales, as she mockingly expressed her discontent by implying that she deserved a spot, having spent a significant amount of time on the show as both a guest and a permanent co-host.

"So apparently The Real in their finale episode, the promo...I am not featured in this thumbnail," she said in the video, slamming the farewell visual reminder of the previous and current show's hosts. "And I am not featured in the farewell episode apparently. I'll have some things to say about that."

Seales then focused on her face for a few seconds of quirky giggling, then added, "I must be out here really shaking the table!"

'Breaking My Spirit'

While the showrunners have not offered any reason for excluding Seales from the final content, the decision might have spawned from the way the comedian left the show, having spent barely six months in her role as a permanent co-host.

At the time, Seales said she left "The Real" to protect her "spirit," adding that she felt she wasn't being true to herself or the Black community.

"I left The Real because it was breaking my spirit... I was being asked to not talk about certain things that felt like a betrayal to my people and to me as a person," she revealed to comedian Godfrey during an Instagram Live (via E!news.)

Seales added, "On top of that, I didn't want to be somewhere where I felt like people weren't being honest with me, where people felt scared of me because of my Black womanness."

Whether her actions were justified or not, they may have enraged the showrunners, who might have felt that their move to grant her a permanent role was undervalued. On the other hand, it could have been an honest error, and until a response is received, no one will know why the cut was made.

Why 'The Real' Was Cancelled

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and for "The Real," the eighth season marked the last time it would air on live tv. The show's last hosts were Garcelle Beauvais, Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai Jenkins.

Love had previously taken to Instagram to explain why the show won't get another sequel, despite its sustained popularity.

"In the end, The Real cast & crew did everything we could to scale the show down. We shot 7-8 shows in 3 days, no audience, made a conference room into a studio," she wrote in the post in April (via ET Online.)

"In my opinion, Covid costs killed this show... it's been a great ride, and thank you to the studio for allowing 8 seasons of a show that was Emmy winning and historic. Most importantly, thank you to the viewers for riding with us .. this is not goodbye, but see you all soon!"

Fans Reaction To 'The Real' Farewell

Love had also posted on her social media account a few days ago to thank fans for being there through the show's run and announce the finale date.

In response to her post, the comment section was flooded with heartfelt responses as fans expressed their appreciation to the hosts and cited what they would miss about the show.

"God bless you all, and may the Lord bless u all on your new chapters. I will be watching till then. You will be missed. God bless and good energy," one fan said.

"Someone save this show! I looked so forward to watching it every morning. I loved your transparency, opinions, and the laughter. It was an awesome way to start my day. I'll miss it sooo much!" another follower added.

The one-hour show was awarded three Daytime Emmys, two NAACP Image Awards, and numerous other nominations during its stint on television.
