When it comes to the prospect of giving roses to dating someone new, former 'Bachelorette' Tayshia Adams would rather give them to those potential suitors who are *not* involved in the 'Bachelor' franchise!
Adams memorably fell for Zac Clark during her whirlwind season of "The Bachelorette," and Clark ended up putting a (Neil Lane) ring on it during the finale.
Clark, 38, won Adams' heart and captivated Bachelor Nation's attention in part for his willingness to vulnerably share his recovery from drug addiction. Clark is a co-founder of the Release Recovery Center, an NYC-based organization that helps those in recovery, according to Variety.
Unfortunately, Clark and Adams split nearly a year after getting engaged.
Adams' now-ex-fiancé is nowhere near ready to think about sparkling diamonds anytime soon! As of this past Winter, not long after his split with Adams, he was feeling fearful about trying to find the right person now that he was a public figure.
According to Us Weekly, an insider divulged that Clark's "biggest fear" pertaining to dating as a now-famous person, is a potential partner spilling all of the details of their private relationship.
"He hasn't started going on dates, but is open to it," the inside source had also shared.
How Is The Former 'Bachelorette' Babe Feeling About Dating?
As for Adams, she was recently asked whether she would be interested in finding her next beau from the crop of men who are affiliated with Bachelor Nation; after all, she would have many guys to choose from!
The idea of dating anyone involved with Bachelor Nation is not one Adams is interested in exploring any further.
She told Entertainment Tonight, as per an article in People, "Respectfully, I'm good. I think I'm good."
Don't count on the prospect of Adams ever exploring the idea of falling in love on the beach, specifically the famous beach those in Bachelor Nation know and love as the filming location for "Bachelor In Paradise."
She went on to tell Entertainment Tonight she was "looking at the beaches of Cabo" instead for rest and relaxation.
What Went Wrong Between The Two
One element Adams will be keeping in mind for her next relationship is to find someone who doesn't make her feel like she is wanting too much out of a relationship.
Us Weekly once reported Adams "had 'liked' a post on an Instagram page that said, 'Finally, I realized I was never asking for too much. I was just asking the wrong person.'"
Adams had reassured fans last December on "The Bachelorette's" "Men Tell All" episode which featured a live audience that she and Clark had not taken the idea of breaking up lightly.
She told the audience, "All in all, I have to say is that I'm heartbroken. But we tried really hard and I still love him very much..." (via People.)
While there hasn't been an explicit reason given for why the pair called it quits, she knows what she needs to do before entering into another relationship, whenever the right person comes along.
For right now Adams knows exactly what she'd rather focus on: herself.
"I feel like my main focus right now is myself, my career, my mental health, my happiness, my family, my friends, and really just become my own [person]," she revealed to the outlet back in March.
We love to see a woman prioritize herself and put her needs above all to figure out her next step!
