Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look and weight loss is still a hot topic of discussion.
The SKIMS creator lost 16 pounds in three weeks in order to wiggle her way into the ICONIC Marilyn Monroe dress worn during John F. Kennedy’s birthday celebration in the ‘60s.
Many on social media criticized her for promoting unhealthy weight loss habits. One notable critic was “Riverdale” star, Lili Reinhart.
Kim's Still Getting Criticism For Met Gala Look
She called the business moguls’ weight loss bragging “disgusting.”
In an interview, Kim talked about how she shed the nearly 20 pounds so quickly.
She wore a sauna suit twice a day, ate tomatoes and cut out all carbohydrates and sugars for three weeks in order to lose 16 pounds.
Lili took to her Instagram Story following the Monday’s fashionable event. She did not name any celebrities by name, but the ‘Kardashians’ star was the only one talking about her drastic weight loss on the red carpet.
She wrote, “To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are... because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month...all to fit in a f--king dress? So wrong. So f**ked on 100s of levels.”

Lili stated those kinds of actions were ignorant and ‘disgusting.’
"To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word,” she continued. “The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting."
Now, Kim is hitting back and comparing herself to some Oscar-winning actors along the way.
In a new interview with the New York Times, Kim explained her Met Gala weight loss was comparable to an actor losing weight or gaining weight for a role.
“To me it was like, ‘OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.’ Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It’s all the same to me,” she explained.
Kim’s referring to Bale’s multiple roles where he had to lose or gain weight for a certain role.
He lost 62 pounds for 2004’s “Machinist” and gained 43 pounds for 2013’s “American Hustle.” More recently, he gained 40 pounds for his role in “Vice” in which he portrayed Vice President Dick Cheney.
Bale Has Gone On Extreme Diets For Movie Roles
Zellweger famously gained weight for her role as ‘Bridget Jones’ in “Bridget Jones’s Diary” in 2001 and “Bridget Jones: The Edge Of reason” in 2004.
Kim continued to explain that detailing her weight loss journey to the Met while on the red carpet wasn’t a PSA for everyone to lose weight.
“I wasn’t saying, ‘Hey everyone, why don’t you go lose this weight in a short period of time?’” she argued.
When asked what she would do had she NOT lost the weight in time for the Met Gala, she responded, “I just simply couldn’t have gone, which wouldn’t have mattered. It was just important to me to reach that goal.”
I’m sure her extreme weight loss was also assisted by all the sex she’s having with Pete Davidson.
