Nick Cannon still holds the memory of his marriage to the iconic Mariah Carey dearly to heart, but never again will he see himself walking down the aisle.
Despite the plethora of women and kids at his door, Cannon recently opened up about his perspective on marriage and how it might not be a possibility in the future.
Nick Cannon Is Not Looking To Get Married Again
The "Wild 'N' Out" host recently sat down with podcast host Raquel Harper on her program, "It's Tricky with Raquel Harper," to discuss a host of topics.
One of the subjects discussed was if Cannon planned to make one of his baby mamas a wife.
While opening up about how he enjoys being a father and putting his kids first, the comedian noted that his new life journey would unlikely include a romantic partner.
When Harper questioned him about a statement he made while recording with singer Chris Brown about marriage being a possibility, Cannon played coy, shutting it down as just a lyric.
The "Drumline" star then explained his stance on walking down the aisle ever again, referencing his 8-year-marriage to Carey. In his words:
"That [marriage to Carey] to me was one of the greatest experiences of my life and for that to have come to an end as well is like why would I go back If I couldn't make that work out."
'The Nick Cannon Show' Host Says It Can't Get Better Than Mariah Carey
The father-of-eight shared that he gave his all during his union with the "All I Want For Christmas" singer, hanging up all his cheating boots, but it still didn't work out.
Hence, if he has to risk marriage another time, it can only happen if he has something way better than before.
"Going forward, I'd have to be presented with something I have never seen before or never experienced in order for me to be willing to go back to do something like that," Cannon confessed.
The 41-year-old admitted that he "did his best" with Carey before noting that "it doesn't get better than that."
He concluded that he wasn't "built for marriage," citing his issues with his ego, insecurities, and selfishness as reasons.
Although Cannon mainly was anti-marriage throughout the discussion, he made an exception.
"The Masked Singer" expressed that he can be willing to consider marriage as long as the government isn't involved.
Defending his point, Cannon said he wasn't ready to go through the process of going to court and signing documents as it paints marriage as just a business transaction.
However, if his future partner were to settle for just a spiritual or holistic ceremony to seal their love, he could consider saying "I do" for the second time.
Cannon Wants To Put A Stop To Excessive Procreation
The actor's confession about marriage comes after he made headlines for considering a vasectomy to solve his excess procreation.
As you may know, Cannon has seven children from four women and has one child on the way with another woman.
He welcomed twins Morrocan and Monroe (11) with Carey; son Golden (5) and daughter Powerful (1) with Brittany Bell; and twins Zion and Zillion (11 months) with Abby De La Rosa.
Cann0n's five-month-old son, Zen, with Alyssa Scott, sadly passed away in December from a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
Currently, he is expecting his eighth child with Brie Tiesi, and it seems he wants his family to stop expanding after that.
As The Blast recently covered, "The Misfits" actor shared that he has already gotten a vasectomy consultation to keep things in check.
"I ain't looking to populate the Earth completely, but I'm definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have," he explained.
While it's not sure if Cannon would go through with the procedure, he noted that he isn't "out there looking" to have more children.
Does that mean he'll take his celibacy pledge a little more seriously? Well, only time would tell!
