When asked if the fascination around his relationship bothered him, he told the music outlet, “I honestly don’t care.”

Shawn’s longtime manager, Andrew Gertler, said the singer is great at “cutting through the clutter.”

The singer’s future in music is one that will be more authentic and centered.

“I never want to stop playing, even if I’m playing for 10 people in a bar,” he says. “And I only want to play bigger shows if I get to do it by making music that’s authentic.”

Shawn’s also turned his attention post-breakup to meditation.

Camila and the “In My Blood” singer parted ways after two and a half years together.

“There was a long while where I was convinced that you just had to write big songs. The type of music that I want to make, what I want to hear and what is important to me.”
