On Monday afternoon, Deadline reported that Johnny Depp was not going to take the stand after all. The Blast was able to confirm that this was not the case. Although Depp was supposed to be the third witness for the day, entertainment industry consultant Kathryn Arnold took the stand instead.

A source close to Heard’s team said, “Calling Depp back to the stand would be as relevant to us as a bicycle to a fish. Everything Depp has testified up to this point has been irrelevant to the heart of this case, and there’s no reason to believe it would be any different now.”

In yet another shocking twist to the trial, model Kate Moss is expected to be called to the stand on Wednesday. The news was announced on Monday afternoon by the New York Post. A source told the outlet that Moss will testify via video link.

While on the stand, Heard testified that she had heard a rumor that Depp had pushed Moss down a flight of stairs when the two dated in the 1990s.

California entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian told the publication, “That’s one mistake that [Heard] made, was bringing up Kate Moss, which potentially opened the door to [Depp’s team] bringing [Moss] on as an impeachment witness” — and Moss “saying ‘This never happened.’”

A source reportedly close to Depp also told the outlet, “Amber mentioned an ex of Johnny’s that clearly she felt was not supportive of him, which couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Moss had dated Depp between 1994 and 1997. She has reportedly been supportive of Depp throughout the trial. However, the same cannot be said of ex Ellen Barkin who testified against Depp last Thursday. She testified that Depp was jealous and controlling during their brief sexual relationship in 1994, testifying that Depp had once thrown a bottle of wine across a hotel room.
