Supermodel, Gisele Bündchen and her husband Tom Brady became parents quite early in their relationship. 

The NFL legend and model started dating months after Brady broke up with then-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. Soon into the relationship, they discovered Bündchen was pregnant.  While it came as a piece of sudden news, the pregnancy helped solidify their relationship.While the pair have managed to stay out of the spotlight, they still appear on the public radar.

They recently made headlines after Brady's surprising exit from the NFL and his swift return a few months later. While fans were quick to blame his wife for the decision, Brady immediately explained that it was a joint family decision. 

Since then, there have been rumors concerning their family and parenting dynamic, and wife Bündchen has come out to clear the air. Read on for more details.

'I'm Grateful Tom Let's Me Take The Reins'

In her interview with British Vogue, the model opened up about the parenting dynamic in her marriage. She was grateful her husband allowed her "take the reins" in that regard.

The pair, who got married in 2009, share two kids, Benjamin and Vivian Brady. They also raise Brady's son with his ex-girlfriend, Jack Moynahan.

"His focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids. And I'm very grateful that he lets me take the reins when it comes to our family. He trusts my decisions."

She also added that her husband doesn't necessarily agree with all of her parenting choices, sharing a story where she had to convince the seven-time Super Bowl champion about her home birthing decision.

"I remember, in the beginning, he wasn't into the idea of home birth. He was like, 'You're not going to do that because you're going to die," she said. She also mentioned that she convinced him to do research on home births by watching multiple videos before he gave in to her decision.

"I made it clear that this is my body and I'm going to decide how I give birth," she concluded.

She also added that raising their kids was a joint effort that took "work."

"I don't think relationships just happen; it's never the fairy tale people want to believe it is. It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids," she concluded.

Brady Previously Divulged That They Had Marital Issues

During an appearance on Howard Stern's "Sirius XM" show, the NFL revealed that he struggled with marital issues some years ago, adding that his wife wasn't happy in the marriage.

"A couple of years ago, she didn't feel like I was doing my part for the family. She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house, and then all of a sudden when the season would end, I'd be like, 'Great, let me get into all of my other business activities. Let me get into my football training,' and she's sitting there going, 'Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?'"

Matters eventually came to a head after he and his wife decided to go for counseling. He also stopped participating in voluntary workouts to spend more time with his family.

Gisele Bündchen Was Supportive Of Brady's Decision To Return To Football

A little over a month after Brady announced that he'd be retiring from football, he disclosed that he'd be returning for the 23rd season.

"These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands," he shared on his Instagram.

"That time will come. But it's not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I'm coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business."

Bündchen was supportive of the decision, as reported by People.

"Gisele has been vocal about wanting him to retire for years but she's also his biggest cheerleader. He would never do it if she weren't on board. Everything they do, they decide as a family."

Gisele Bündchen On Her 'The Devil Wears Prada' Role

In her Vogue interview, the Brazilian model also opened up about how she got a role in the iconic movie, "The Devils Wears Prada."

She shared that she was approached by the scriptwriter Aline Brosh McKenna on a flight going to Los Angeles, who told her she was writing a movie and needed models to be on it.

At first, Bündchen turned down the offer, explaining that she wouldn't play a job she did every day.

Eventually, she changed her mind and decided to go for it despite her reservation about not having acting skills.
