Marz told the jury that she felt that Depp was “charging” at her and quickly went around Depp to leave. She said that after the “frightening” encounter, she went and hid in the communal gym and pool area until she got a text from Rocky telling her to go to the penthouse. She told the jury that she hid because she “didn’t know what he would do,” referring to Depp.

Once there, she testified that Heard was “disheveled” and that her hair was a mess. She testified that Heard’s face was red but that Heard also had “marks” on her face that were not present when she spent time with Heard earlier in the day. Marz said that the bruises that Heard sustained that day were the same as the ones shown in the photo above.

To prepare for her appearance on James Corden's show, Heard's make-up artist Melanie Inglessis testified that she had used concealer to cover up the bruises on her face on a pre-recorded video deposition from February 2, 2021.

Melanie said that Heard did not regularly use the color peach, but that she needed to use it to counteract the blue discoloration on her face, notably around her eyes and on her nose. She said that Heard "had" to use a bold red color to disguise the injury on Heard's lip, which she described as a "split lip." Melanie said that Heard "performed" while on the show, but before she went on stage, she described her mood as "angry" and "sad."

She got irate at the suggestion that she should remember the shade or the brand that she used on Heard at the time.

Amber Heard shows her bruised face and ripped scalp in disturbing photos taken after a 2015 fight where she claims Johnny Depp beat her so badly she thought she was going to die. The photos were shown in court as Heard gave evidence in the ex-couple’s defamation trial, claiming Depp headbutted her and dragged her by her hair, leaving chunks of it all over the floor. Heard told Fairfax County Circuit Court she suffered two black eyes and a split lip during a fight with Depp in December 2015. According to a report of the proceedings published by the Daily Mail, Heard said Depp asked her, “You really want to go now, tough guy?’ before punching her. Heard said: “I look him right in the eyes. It was a really still moment. “(He said) ‘You want to go again, tough guy?’ I looked right up at his face, he balled up his face, leaned back and headbutted me square in the nose. “Instantly (I felt) searing pain. It's one of the few memories I have of physical pain, searing pain.” She told the court Depp dragged her by the hair into a neighboring apartment, leaving chunks of hair all over the floor. Depp got on top of her with her face in a pill and was repeatedly beating her, the court heard. Heard said: 'He's trying to hold me with his knee on my back and he's punching me with a closed fist repeatedly. “I remember the sound of Johnny's voice he got next to my ear and he was screaming over and over again, ‘I f**king hate you! I f**king hate you!’ Over and over. ‘F**king hate you!’ Pounding the back of my head with his fist. “I could hear myself scream until I couldn't hear myself anymore, I could just hear him say he was going to kill me and he sounded like an animal in pain when he was saying he f**king hated me. “He sounded different, like he was in agony. He just hit me over and over and over again. I got really still and it felt in my body quiet. “I thought, ‘This is how I die, he's going to kill me now. He's going to kill me and he won't even have realized it.’ “I couldn't breathe. I remember trying to scream and I couldn't scream suffocating in this pillow top with him holding me down punching me. I don't have any memory after that until I woke up.” The former couple are facing each other at a trial at Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia as Depp sues for $50 million over a December 2018 op-ed Heard wrote for the Washington Post declaring herself a domestic violence survivor. The article did not mention Depp by name, but he claims he lost his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise because of the “clear implication” he was Heard’s abuser. 05 May 2022 Pictured: Amber Heard shows two black eyes and a split lip in photos taken after an alleged December 2015 fight with Johnny Depp, in which she claims he beat her so badly she thought she was going to die. Melanie also told the jury that Amber Heard had a lip injury and a chunk of hair missing from the fight on December 16, 2015, and she knew "because she showed it to us." She stated that Heard wavered in periods where she wanted to divorce Depp and when she didn't.

Melanie also insisted that she knew that Heard had bruises because she was the one who had been covering them up. In another photo, Melanie denied that the dark marks under Heard's eye were "eyeshadow." On April 21, 2015, the night of Heard's 30th birthday dinner, Melanie told the jury that Heard told her about the abuse but could "not recall" what Heard had said or if Heard had any visible injuries about the time.

She did recall that Heard was "very distraught" and "very confused if she should file or not for divorce." Heard was reported to be "really sad and angry and all of it." Melanie said she actually "physically" took Heard's phone so she would not have contact with Depp. She assumes Heard filed for divorce the next day "and that's when that circus started."

Melanie testified that she supported Heard's position to file for divorce.

Kristy testified that Heard cried regularly throughout her marriage to Johnny Depp. Kristy told the jury that she had to “block out time cushions” around Heard’s classes because “she would be sobbing when we started and we couldn’t work.”

She told the jury that Heard was crying in “80 to 90 percent” of their classes together. She also testified to hearing arguments between the couple.
