Selena made her hosting debut and began her monologue by recalling the advice other famous faces had given her, including Miley. It seems that Miley loved Selena’s impression of her, as she created a hysterical DIY shirt in response.

Earlier this week, Miley posted a photo of her in bed sipping a cup of green tea. In the photo, she is wearing a tank top that reads, “H— yeah, I’m Miley Cyrus.”
“H— YEAH I’M MILEY CYRUS,” Miley wrote in the caption, tagging both Selena and SNL’s Instagram account.
Fans of “The Climb” singer piled on the post to cheer her on. The official Instagram account quoted the lyrics of “See You Again,” saying, “She’s just being Miley.”
“You sure are,” one fan wrote.
“Queeennsssss please do a song together,” another begged.
Others hoped that Selena would perform at Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, which just got renewed for its second year in a row.

Miley celebrated the announcement by posting several photos of her performing in dark shades and a long red dress.
“Celebrating the announcement of #MileysNewYearsEveParty 2023!” she captioned the snaps. “I’m partnering with Lorne Michaels AGAIN to make this party possible! Thank you for bringing in 2022 with us & starting this year off right! CELEBRATING TOGETHER! 🎉🍾💃”
“SNL” creator Lorne Michaels will be back to executive produce the New Year’s Eve special, but it’s unclear if “Saturday Night Live” alum Pete Davidson will return to co-host.
According to Deadline, Miley’s first special included performances from Noah Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Saweetie, Anitta, Jack Harlow, 24kGoldn, Kitty Ca$h, and several others. The line-up for Miley’s party on December 31 has yet to be announced, but fans are starting to get hopeful that Selena will be there!

Selena Gomez Dishes On Hosting Advice Before ‘SNL’ Monologue
On May 14, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star made her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live.” She opened the show by plugging her new Hulu series, “Only Murders in the Building,” which also stars “SNL” alums Steve Martin and Martin Short.
“This is a big moment for me,” she told the cheering audience as she stepped on stage, noting that she used to watch the show with her mother every week growing up. “I actually started acting when I was seven, and I’ve been lucky enough to work with some Hollywood icons, [like] Steve Martin, Martin Short and, of course, Barney.”
The show then cut to a throwback photo of a young Selena with Barney in one of her first appearances on the show “Barney & Friends” back in the early 2000s.
“That was the first show I was on, and now I’m on a show called Only Murders in the Building,” she continued. “I was so honored to work with Steve Martin and Martin Short, especially after I googled them to find out who they were.”
She said that it was “cool” working with the two legendary comedians. “When I found out I was hosting, I immediately asked for their advice,” she explained. “Steve said, ‘Trust no one,’ and Marty said, ‘I think Steve Martin has been using my credit card.’”
Selena also said that she asked one of her “oldest friends,” Miley Cyrus, for advice. She then did her best Miley impersonation, saying, “Just be yourself and have fun.”
As can be heard in the video above, that Western drawl is spot on! Fans loved Selena hosting SNL and hope that she’ll be back… perhaps with Miley as a musical guest?
