Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look is still being talked about, and not in the way she would hope!
The KKW Beauty mogul went to the extreme for this year’s Met Gala look.
Kim wore the late-Marilyn Monroe’s ICONIC “Happy Birthday” dress to Anna Wintour’s annual fashion event.
If you aren’t familiar with the dress, it is the exact dress Monroe wore while singing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy.

It’s a gold sequined curve-hugging dress with a plunging neckline and open back.
The dress was made for an icon, and that’s exactly how one Hollywood costume designer feels.
Bob Mackie sketched the historical gown Monroe wore back in 1962, and he is not at all pleased with Kim wearing it.
The 82-year-old costume designer spoke to Entertainment Weekly to air his grievances with Kim trying to be Monroe.
“Marilyn was a goddess. A crazy goddess, but a goddess. She was just fabulous,” he said. “Nobody photographs like that. And it was done for her. It was designed for her. Nobody else should be seen in that dress."
Kim Wearing Marilyn's Dress Was A "Big Mistake"
Mackie certainly felt a type of way about Kim wearing the dress.
"I thought it was a big mistake," the costume designer argued.
He also expressed his concerns that wearing the gown was undoubtably damaging to the dress’ preservation and structural integrity.
Mackie was 23-years-old at the time he drew the design which was done at the request of designer Jean Louis.
The Blast previously reported on the extreme lengths Kim went to in order to get the dress and fit in it.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum met with the reality TV star back in March for a first fitting.
TMZ reported that the museum in which the dress is housed initially denied Kim access to the dress.
Kim Was Initially Denied Approval To Wear Marilyn's Dress
Neither Kim nor Ripley’s liked the way the 60-year-old dress fit on her voluptuous figure.
Ripley’s made the decision to NOT lend the dress out to Kim unless she could make the dress fit like a glove… and that she did.
The mother-of-four admitted that she cried when she didn’t fit in the dress during the first try-on.
Kim went to extreme measures to ensure she would be wearing Marylin’s dress on the night of the Met Gala.

“The Kardashians” star really put in the work at the gym.
While on the Met Gala red carpet, Kim told her good friend La La Anthony, who was hosting Vogue’s livestream, the insane lengths she went to in order to fit in the dress.
“I had this idea to put it on and to try it on, and they came with armed guards and gloves. I tried it on and it didn’t fit me, and so I looked at them and said give me like three weeks,” she dished. “I had to lose 16lbs, down today, to be able to fit this. It was such a challenge, it was like a role, I was determined to fit it.”
Kim revealed that she wore a sauna suit twice a day, ate tomatoes and cut out carbohydrates and sugars for three weeks.
Kim explained how she was able to lose the weight saying, “I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein. I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict.”
The ‘KUWTK’ star often documented her early morning sauna suit sprints in her home gym.
As you can imagine, many people on social media ripped Kim a new one for bragging about her dangerous weight loss.
