By Kristin Myers on May 11, 2022 at 4:31 PM EDT
The Black Dahlia Murder singer Trevor Strnad passed away at age 41.
The band announced his death on the band's Instagram and Facebook social media pages. Although a cause of death was not listed by the late singer, the band did list the number for the suicide prevention hotline. At this time, it is unclear whether Strnad did take his own life. Earlier this month, singer Naomi Judd of "The Judds" also took her life the day before she was scheduled to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame with her daughter, Wynonna.
Trevor Strnad Dubbed 'A Walking Encyclopedia Of All Things Music'
In a brief statement posted to their social media accounts, the band wrote, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him.”
They called him “a walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”
They also included the phone number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
