As recent as this past weekend at a WWE live event in Trenton, N.J., Reigns cut a promo to the fans in attendance after the show had completed on his future in the ring by saying, “I’ve been here a couple of times in the past 10 years. I’m starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back here again. If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.”

Multiple reports have stated that Reigns has signed a new contract as of August 2019 that would allow him to only have to appear on a much more limited schedule than most performers do in the WWE. Nobody seems to be aware of the duration of his contract but The Blast has reached out to the WWE for clarification on both Reigns leaving the WWE all together and or reaching a new agreement with less dates. They have yet to respond but sources close to Reigns have told The Blast EXCLUSIVELY that, 'Roman is going to be around for a long time, he will be getting a much lighter schedule and he most certainly will seek opportunities in film and TV but he is going to be around for a long time when it comes to his time in the ring. People shouldn't get that worried about him leaving."

If Reigns was going to take on Hollywood, this wouldn't be the first time that Reigns would have had to leave over outside circumstances. Thankfully, he got better and did what he promised and returned to do what he loves. At the time he said, "Sometimes life throws you a curveball and the best thing for me to do is to go home and focus on my health. But I want to make one thing clear: By no means is this a retirement speech because after I'm done whupping leukemia's ass, I'm coming back home. And when I do, it's not going to be about titles and being on top, it's about a purpose. I'm coming back because I want to show you all at home and my family and my children and my wife that when life throws a curveball at me, I will choke up and I will swing for the fences every single time. I will beat this and I will be back so you will see me very, very soon."

And upon his gallant return, he has been the most decorated WWE Superstar arguably of all time. So thankfully the rumors just seem to be that, rumors. It looks like though Reigns may have less dates on his schedule to wrestle for the WWE, he will still be around for the major premium live events and future Raw and Smackdown episodes when needed.

And we are happy that is the case because we will follow Roman to Hollywood, but we still want him in the ring for years to come.
