“Jeopardy!” champion Mattea Roach just finished up her long win streak on Friday.

The 23-year-old tutor from Toronto, Canada, won 23 games in a row, securing the fifth-highest win streak in the game show’s long history.

Although it wasn’t enough to beat former champion Amy Schneider, who wrapped up her 40-game win streak back in January, Amy revealed that she’s still worried about facing Mattea in the Tournament of Champions later this year!

In a previous contestant interview, Mattea revealed that she was nervous to go up against Amy and felt that she would probably lose if they were to compete against each other in the annual tournament. However, it appears that the feeling is mutual.

On Saturday, Amy revealed that she hasn’t been watching Mattea’s run because she’s been taking a break from the game show that turned her into a household name. However, she still notice of Mattea’s impressive win streak.

“So, I have a confession to make: I haven’t really watched Jeopardy for the last month or two. So I have only watched a couple of @mattearoach’s games,” Amy tweeted. “But it’s clear she’s a great player and person, and I look forward to meeting her as much as I fear competing against her!”

“I am also so, so proud to see another queer woman excelling,” said Amy, who is openly trans. Mattea’s Twitter profile indicates that she identifies as a lesbian. “Jeopardy is for everyone, and so I’m thrilled to see the demographics of its leaderboard start to look ever so slightly more like America (and Canada!).”

“So my most sincere congratulations to @mattearoach, and if you’re a Jeopardy fan that doesn’t see anyone who looks like you on the leaderboards, then I say go, try out, and become that person yourself!” she added. “I’ll be cheering you on the whole way.”

She wrapped up her Twitter thread on one last note: “(Oh, and about Jeopardy: still love the show, got all the episodes on my DVR. I just lived and breathed Jeopardy 24/7 for 6 months, and I needed a mental break!)”

"I'm thrilled for a TOC that could potentially be a showdown between you, @mattearoach and @AmodioMatt -in any other year you would be the clear favorite but I think those 2 are going to be quite the challenge!" another fan commented. Matt Amodio set a third-place record of 38 games when season 38 started back in September.

He later added, "I'm handing the keys back to the talented actor-producer-writer-director (!) @missmayim for a few months. We are lucky to have her! Thanks for watching, and I'll be back before the end of the season."

Fans will be sad to see Mattea and Ken go, especially when TV Guide just gave Ken a glowing endorsement to be the next "Jeopardy!" host!
