The Met Gala is not without drama, on the whole, considering the very outfits are supposed to be as dramatic as they can be. 2022’s Met Gala “Gilded Cage” was no different and plenty of costume drama emerged on the red carpet, from Billie Eilish to Blake Lively‘s transformative Atelier Versace gown, and Ryan Reynolds‘ delight in it.
But the most drama revolved around Billie Eilish, and it was not just about her red carpet gown, fantastic as it was but also about Cardi B, with a little bit of Addison Rae thrown in. Here’s all the DL…

The Cardi B Met Gala Feud Is All A Rumor
Cardi B wore a head-to-toe gold-chain custom gown, made for her by Atelier Versace with 20 people spending more than 1,300 hours to make it.

More interestingly, a video clip surfaced from the Met Gala, where Billie Eilish is heard mouthing the word “weird” when Cardi B was making a speech to the crowd, as other partygoers filmed her with their phones.
But don’t believe us, here’s the clip that has been riling up folks on the Internet.

But Cardi B is having none of it, as she soon took to Twitter to clear the air. Wrote the rapper, “I hate the internet cause one, how do y’all turn one of the most lit parties into drama? Two, “Ocean Eyes” is the song I cater to my daughter. Three, Billie is my f***ing baby. Yesterday, from the Met to the party, everything was drama-free. Why do yallwanna turn everything into mess?”
And not just that, she also posted voice messages from Billie, where she’s heard saying, “Oh my God, I was so worried you were gonna see that. I was f***ing calling the people around you weird because everybody around you was shoving their phones into your a**! And I was like, just look at her, with your eyes!”
Cardi is heard reassuring her, as she says, “The internet’s trying to divide us! They don’t understand that you’re my baby!”
Here’s the clip:

Fans seemed grateful for the explanation as one wrote:

Addison Rae Wants To Be Judged By Billie Eilish
Finally, Addison Rae has also stepped into the fray. After Eilish spoke to Emma Chamberlain for Vogue‘s red carpet live stream and said, “I love to judge”, Addison Rae went on to Instagram.
Of course, when Chamberlain asked Eilish if the judgment was “lovingly,” Eilish added, “Oh yeah, that’s what I mean. Judging doesn’t have to be bad.”
So Addison is now asking Eilish to “judge her”, in her barely-there after-party Met Gala costume. Her not-so-much-there dress was mostly black see-through chiffon with an open back, high neck, and flowing train with a high slit. Under the dress keeping her modesty was a black pair of underwear and nude nipple pasties, which the 21-year-old influencer paired with a metallic clutch and cuff.
Eilish is yet to comment.
