Cristiano Ronaldo Cuddles Up With Newborn Daughter Following Son's Death

Cristiano Ronaldo is healing following the death of his newborn son.

The soccer star shared a photo of himself shirtless cuddling with his newborn daughter.

He captioned the sweet black-and-white photo, “Forever Love…❤️??.”

The Manchester United player previously shared a family photo with his newborn daughter.

The photo was taken days after his girlfriend gave birth to twins, a boy and girl, but the baby boy tragically passed away following birth.

He captioned the photo, “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world. ??❤️??.”

The soccer star announced the tragic news on April 18 in a statement published on Instagram.

The statement read, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives. Us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”

Cristiano and Georgina Rodriguez have four children together and he has a son from a previous relationship.

The soccer player’s sister, Katia Aveiro, dedicated a heartwarming tribute to her late nephew while praising her niece.

“I love you and my heart is all there on this side…May God take care of everything and strengthen your path more and more,” she wrote to her grieving brother.

Her statement continued, “Our little angel is already on her father’s lap,?   and our little girl who is here firm and strong and full of health will teach us more and more that only love matters.”

Ronaldo and Rodriguez first shared the news that they were expecting twins in October 2021.

The former Real Madrid player and his longtime partner broke the news with a lovely photo of them in bed, proudly holding up their children’s sonogram.

“Delighted to announce we are expecting twins????. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you,” the accompanying caption read.

As The Blast previously reported, the news of Ronaldo’s loss came days before Manchester United was set to meet Liverpool; hence he wasn’t able to play at the match.

However, fans of both teams, especially the opponents were able to put their rivalry aside at the seventh minute of the match to honor Ronaldo, giving the legendary athlete a standing ovation.
