Kaley Cuoco definitely hit big in the friendship department when she met Zosia Mamet. The actor co-starred with Mamet in the HBO hit series "The Flight Attendant." She bagged the lead role of Cassie Bowden while Mamet played Annie Mouradian.
The "Big Bang Theory" actress recently announced her split from her three-year marriage with Karl Cook. While the divorce proceedings seemed amicable enough, Cuoco revealed that the split seriously affected her. The actress was previously married to Ryan Sweeting, a tennis player.
Cuoco mentioned how she struggled with her recently concluded divorce and the enormous help Mamet was. According to her, they practically lived together at a time, and her co-star helped her make it to work on more than one occasion. Mamet even showed up to work on her off days to comfort Cuoco.
Kaley Cuoco Said She And Zosia Mamet 'Moved In Together'
Cuoco recently opened up about how Mamet helped her through a particularly tough time. The 36-year-old revealed that her "The Flight Attendant" co-star gave her a shoulder to lean on during her divorce from ex-husband Karl Cook.
In a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Cuoco talked about her hard time handling her divorce. According to the actress, the divorce happened when "The Flight Attendant" was filming its second season, so she had a particularly tough time going to work.
Talking about Mamet, she said, "She basically lived with me the last few months of shooting, we just moved in together, and I don't think I would've gotten to work some days without her. I never thought I had to depend on anyone like that before, and I really depended on her. She helped me through so much."
Mamet Showed Up On Days She Didn't Need To
Further on in the interview, Cuoco revealed that Mamet made herself available at work even on her days off. The actress apparently came on set often to comfort the 36-year-old when she was informed that Cuoco was having a hard time.
"She would come to work on days she didn't have to be there and come and have lunch with me," the "Big Bang Theory" actress said. "I'm like 'You have your day off today,' and she's like 'I'm coming in,' cause she heard I was having a rough time, and she would sit in my trailer." Cuoco added that she thought Mamet was the best and was "very lucky" she had her.
After the first season's success, "The Flight Attendant" was renewed for a second season in December 2020. The first episodes of the HBO Max original premiered on April 24 on the platform and had several new faces along with older characters like Cuoco, Rosie Perez, Mamet, and T.R. Knight.
Cuoco And Cook Are Divorced
Cuoco and Cook reportedly first linked as far back as March 2016 but didn't get married until 2018. After years of marriage, the couple announced their divorce in September 2021. According to their joint statement to People, the duo grew apart but still loved and respected each other.
The statement read, "Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions. We have both shared so much of our journey publicly, so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary."
While the former couple is officially split, they have continued to celebrate each other publicly. A few days after their announcement, Cuoco made a congratulatory comment on Cook's Instagram post after the 31-year-old won an equestrian competition.
Kaley Cuoco Said She Never Wanted To Marry Again
Despite her seemingly amicable relationship with ex-husband Cook, Cuoco revealed that she wasn't interested in ever getting married again. In an interview with Glamour, the actress got candid about how badly she handled the divorce and swore off wedding bells.
Cuoco added that while she had no problem being in a "lasting relationship or a partnership," a flowing white dress wouldn't ever be in the picture for her anymore. She said, "I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. But I will never get married again. Absolutely not. You can put that on the cover."
The "Young Sheldon" actress previously said the same thing about her marriage with Sweeting when she first married Cook. At that time, she said, "I honestly thought I wouldn't get married again. My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn't my fault — that was his."
