Andy Cohen Is Officially A 'Girl Dad' Thanks To 'Rockstar Surrogate'

The Bravo TV host is officially a “girl dad.”

Cohen announced that he had welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy via surrogate on Friday, April 29.

He posted a picture of himself holding his little girl and captioned the precious picture, “HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen! She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!! Her big brother can’t wait to meet her! Thank you to my rock star surrogate (ALL surrogates are rockstars, by the way) and everyone who helped make this miracle happen. I’m so happy.”

Khloe Kardashian commented, “Congratulations!!!!! How wonderful and blessed is your family!!! May God bless you all!! ❤️❤️❤️.”

Vicki Gunvalson wrote, “Congratulations! I love that name 💓.”

Lisa Rinna, who is mother to two girls, commented, “OMG CONGRATS ANDY!!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD LUCY!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️.” She added another comment which said, “EVERYONE GETUP ON A TABLE AND DANCE FOR ANDY AND LUCY NOW!!!!!💞💞💞💞💞💞.”

“How wonderful Andy! Congrats,” Brad Goreski said.

Cohen’s BFF Anderson Cooper replied, “Amazing! Congratulations! Welcome Lucy!!!”

Countless other ‘Real Housewives’ sent their well wishes and congratulations to Cohen.

In the event you’re wondering what a “Girl Dad” means, it’s defined as, “A girl dad plays princesses, does hair, and gives manicures, but he also teaches his daughters how to fish and play sports. There's nothing we could teach to our sons that we can't teach to our daughters, but there's a lot that our daughters can teach us.”

Cohen is already a father to his son Benjamin.

He announced in 2018 that he would be expecting his first child via surrogate.

That same year, Cohen opened up about family on “Watch What Happens Live.”

He said during a December episode, “Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life. While it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet.”

Cohen then welcomed his son, Ben, in February 2019.

Upon announcing this exciting news, many fans began speculating who the egg donor might be or could be.

While Cohen has kept many details of the surrogacy private, he did tell Heather Dubrow during a 2021 podcast appearance that searching for an egg donor was “frankly the hardest part of this entire process.”

As for whether or not Cohen wants more kids, he said he does but the process would need to start ASAP. This was said in September 2021.

Clearly, Cohen had baby plans already in motion at this point and kept the pregnancy of his second child a complete secret.
