Zayn Malik is reportedly making major headway with his anger management.
The former One Direction singer seems to be on the path to positivity following his September 2021 altercation with his ex-girlfriend’s mom, Yolanda Hadid.
According to Life & Style, the British pop star “is making tremendous progress” following the headline-making showdown.
Zayn Is Making Progress With His Anger
An insider told the outlet, “The anger management classes really helped him get to a better place. Everything is going well, except for Yolanda, who is urging her daughter to move forwards not backwards.”
However, Yolanda isn’t willing to forgive or forget what happened.
Another insider told L&S, “Yolanda has calmed down since the altercation, but she has no time for Zayn and hasn’t forgiven him for the alleged incident.”
On September 29, Yolanda stopped by the house to check in on her granddaughter, Khai, and Zayn didn’t take kindly to her unannounced drop in.
Yolanda Has ‘No Time’ For Zayn Malik
The two exchanged some words, which included Z calling Yolanda a “Dutch slut,” and an altercation ensued.
Zayn was given two harassment charges involving Yolanda, one charge for harassing Gigi Hadid over the phone and another charge involving a security guard, John McMahon, whom he attempted to “physically engage in a fight,” per the court documents.
Zayn plead no contest to all of the charges, but he will have to serve 90 days probation for each count along with taking anger management classes and paying court fines and other penalties.
The singer released a statement on Twitter and gave a personal statement to TMZ.
Zayn Denied Striking Yolanda
Zayn told the outlet, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter, I decline to give any further details, and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
Despite the bad blood between Yolanda and Zayn, the singer and his supermodel ex-girlfriend are on good terms.
In a separate report from InTouch Weekly, the former couple “are on friendly terms.”
The couple, who share a one-year-old daughter, “speak a few times a week” a source revealed to the outlet.
“She will always have a place in her heart for him,” they continued to reveal.
The couple formerly known by fans as “ZiGi” welcomed their daughter Khai in September 2020 amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

During an interview with InStyle Magazine earlier this year, the former Victoria’s Secret runway model opened up about lessons she learned in 2021.
Gigi Advises People To “Not Wish Away Moments”
Gigi said, “I’ve been reminded that when we get time with people, just really appreciate it and take it all in and try not to wish away moments.”
She continued to explain, “Even if there’s something hard, find something beautiful in it.”
In addition to ending her six-year on-off relationship with Z, Gigi lost her close friend, Virgil Abloh, and her Aunt Ghada.
Gigi also opened up about being too trusting during the interview.
When asked if she’s had to reel back how public she is given her rising fame, Gigi responded, “I’ve always been very trusting, and like a lot of people, I learned the hard way in this industry by being too open in interviews. You have to start to calculate your steps, because you went for it with an open heart, and sometimes it doesn’t get portrayed that way.”
