Matthew Broderick nailed the art of giving golden nuggets of lifelong wisdom when he played the beloved Ferris Bueller in John Hughes' 1986's seminal teen film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off!"
Broderick's signature character's advice "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it" definitely seemed to translate into the actor's real life when he first caught a glimpse of his future wife, Sarah Jessica Parker!
Some may say time stands still when you see your future 'person' for the first time.
Judging by Broderick's recent revelation of the specific moment where he knew Parker was the other half he had been looking for, it sounds as if the hands of time slowed down indeed!
How He Realized Parker Was 'The One'
The moment when Broderick saw his wife-to-be for the first time, she was in the midst of doing something some would think of as a rather mundane aspect of life.
However it would later become a memorable moment for both Broderick and in the bustling existence of Parker's future legendary alter ego Carrie Bradshaw!
Parker first caught Broderick's eye when he "Saw her walking down the street."
The simplistic occurrence happened to be the moment when the actors first met, according to Broderick, when he shared his life-changing moment to Andy Cohen, as per People.
Broderick is clearly still incredibly smitten with his wife, with whom he will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary next month!
The pair's introduction could have been written in the stars!
They were introduced six years earlier by two people very close to Parker: her own brothers!
Parker's brothers believed the duo would hit it off due to a mutually shared love of Broadway, according to Us Weekly.
When looking back on the moment where he met Parker for the first time, her man emphasized how strongly he felt about their encounter to Cohen during his "Watch What Happens Live" appearance.
Broderick said he knew he would spend the rest of his life with the "And Just Like That" actress "The first time [he] met her," adding he "Thought 'that's it'."
Inside Their 'Long-Haul' Love

Parker is just as equally devoted to her man, 25 years and three children later!
"Call me crazy, but I love him," she gushed to Harper's Bazaar as per Us Weekly, in 2013. "We can only be in the marriage we are. We're very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he's the father of my children, and it's because of him that there's a whole other world that I love."
The 'Whole other world' Parker spoke about has been nurtured by the couple keeping a realistic outlook on their love.
She shared to The Telegraph back in 2011, "We've been together for 20 years and you have good days, and you have decent days, and you have bad days."
"If you're in it for the long haul and you want meaningful relationships," she added, "You're going to go through lots of different periods."
The couple's deep bond and their realization that marriage isn't always going to be perfect has served them well, even in those situations that could potentially be difficult for other couples.
Broderick and Parker are secure enough in their relationship to the point of there being no threats to their love- even if other fellow famous actors are involved.
Back in her days of big hair and starring in a cult dance film, Parker was seriously involved with Robert Downey Jr.
Her now-husband has no qualms about her past, or about the idea of Downey Jr. and Parker being friends all of these years later!
"Of course he's more than okay to connect with her," he once told Us Weekly. "What would I say? No? Who do you think I am," he joked. "No, I love Robert Downey and Sarah Jessica Parker, so [yes]."
Broderick and Parker are currently embarking on another significant chapter in their marriage. They are currently starring together in "Plaza Street" on Broadway.
We love to see couples going back to their roots! The play will be open until July 6th.
