As many fans would know, Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian recently tied the knot in Las Vegas and have been vocal about their plans to grow their family, despite having five children between them from previous relationships.
In the second episode of the Hulu series, which aired earlier this week, Kourtney opened up about her struggles with IVF and how she is currently undergoing it in hopes of having a baby.
In a surprising turn of events, Travis' ex, Shanna Moakler, has expressed support for the couple's IVF journey. Many didn't see this coming as she has expressed mixed feelings about the pair's relationship in the past.
Read on to get more details about the disclosure.
'I Think It's Fantastic'
In a recent interview with UsWeekly, Shanna Moakler weighed in on the couple's IVF journey, adding that it is "fantastic" that her ex Travis and Kourtney are trying to have a baby together.
"I think if that is a desire between the two of them, then that's fantastic," she said, adding, "I don't have any issues with that. Their personal relationship is nothing I get involved in."
She added that she doesn't know as much about that journey as most people might think.
"All I know is kind of, like, what everyone knows. I think they were trying IVF, and there were some complications."
She also mentioned that although she was happy for them, she won't be watching his new life with Kourtney play out on the new Hulu series.
"I have never seen an episode of the Kardashians, and I won't start now. However, I wish them nothing but success. As long as my children are happy, that is all I care about. My ex's relationship really isn't any of my business but I wish them continued happiness."
She also added that she is okay with her kids being on the show, noting that she's fine with her "children doing whatever creatively makes them happy," and if being on the show does that to them, she has no qualms about it.
Kourtney Said That The IVF Medications Caused Her Severe Side Effects
The reality star admitted on the show that IVF medications caused her severe side effects like weight gain and menopause-like symptoms. During the IVF journey, patients were prescribed drugs that would lower estrogen levels, block ovulation and give off symptoms similar to menopause.
"It has not been the most amazing experience," Kourtney said of her IVF treatments.
In a conversation with her mom Kris Jenner, she also added the backlash she has received from the media.
One of them included how she's gained "so much weight."
"I'm, like, it's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they're going through," Kardashian told Jenner. "The medication that they've been giving me, they put me into menopause," she added. "Literally into menopause."
While Kourtney didn't reveal the name of the medications, fans of the reality star agreed that the ridicule and bullying were uncalled for and unnecessary.
One wrote, "This is so true. I always felt sad for her when people commented on her weight & 'looking pregnant,' Bless her."
Another replied, "Anyone who has gone through IVF can totally relate to this. It isn't the most amazing experience."
Shanna Moakler Previously Sparked Pregnancy Rumors
A week after the arrest of her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, Moakler exclusively confirmed to People that she was pregnant.
"I took a pregnancy test and it is positive," Moakler explained, per a statement. "This has been a very difficult week, but I'm taking everything day by day."
She later revealed to E! online that it was a false positive as she was "taking a hormone called HCG" to help her "lose weight for Big Brother."
What Has Shanna Moakler Been Up To?
While Moakler is not currently on reality TV, as she was recently a contestant on the "Celebrity Big Brother" show, she has been working as the producer and director of "Miss Nevada USA."
The pageant holds through May 14 and 15 at South Point Hotel Casino and Spa.
She mentioned to Us Weekly that she was proud of this project because by working with thousands of girls, she's had the opportunity to "really make a difference" in their lives and get them involved in "community service."
