Kevin Federline Denies Britney Spears' Comments About Her Pregnancy
By Kristin Myers on April 22, 2022 at 1:30 PM EDT
Singer Britney Spears has been accused of making up lies in her last Instagram post.
Although she quickly deleted the post within an hour of posting it, ex-husband Kevin Federline saw her comments. The "Gimme More" singer accused her ex-husband of not being there for her during her first pregnancy.
The couple was married from 2004 to 2007 and shares two teenage sons together.
Was Did Britney Spears Say About Kevin Federline?
Screenshots of Britney's full post have been reposted at the bottom of the article (it's pretty long) but Britney called out K-Fed for not being there for her while she was pregnant.
On Thursday, Britney wrote, “My ex-husband wouldn’t see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video !!! And as my brother’s best friend shows up to support a very pregnant woman in Vegas because he felt and PLAYED IT OFF TALKING AND EATING ICE ALL NIGHT.”
Britney called herself “so weird” during her pregnancy, saying that she liked “huge pickles and biting down on ice.” She said that, while she was eating the ice, she got a text saying, “If you don’t divorce Kevin he will publicly do it to you.”
“Since I hadn’t seen him in a while I already knew it was over,” Britney continued. “I had my baby and went out literally 2 times with Paris [Hilton] and it was all over the news like I was a party girl.”
“Whatever … it’s over now and I’ve made my peace with it,” Britney concluded. “Although writing my book is actually hard after speaking for 2 hours each time to this lovely lady trying to create drafts. I cry for 2 days afterwards and I’m like Jesus Christ !!! I’ve been through it but it’s INCREDIBLY CLEANSING yet hard …’”
It's likely that more things will come out about her first marriage in her memoir (no release date for that yet), but K-Fed denied that he wasn't there for Britney during her first two pregnancies.
Kevin Federline's Attorney Slams Britney Spears' 'False' Claims
Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, called out Britney Spears’ post as “false,” as per TMZ.
Kaplan said that Britney’s version of events “is completely the opposite of what’s true. She knows that.”
He warned, “She should be very careful about pursuing a dialogue that’s based on revisionist history.” He added, “That story about Kevin in Las Vegas and Britney is completely erroneous, and [Kevin is] not going to stand by and let that story besmirch what he did and his support of her back in the day.”
It’s possible that the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer realized that what she said wasn’t entirely true, which is why she deleted the post so quickly. However, Brit has deleted many of her other posts, especially those slamming her family and how they treated her during her stifling 13-year conservatorship.
Apparently, Kevin has no bad blood with Britney or her new relationship with fiancé Sam Asghari. “But when she starts talking about the way things were when Jayden and Preston were infants that's completely fabricated,” Kaplan added. “Kevin is not going to let that stand by and let that be the portrayal of fact.”
Britney doesn't discuss Kevin often in her posts, so it remains to be seen if she'll refrain from bringing him up again in later posts. Her memoir, however, is most likely going to be a very different story.
As previously stated, Britney deleted the original post within an hour of sharing it, but her full statement can be read below:
